I am trying to plan a family vacation for after DH gets home from deployment. Our original plan was to go visit his twin in Japan (DH lived there many years ago) but now he thinks he wants a more laid-back restful trip. Our usual vacations are more cultural/sightseeing and go-go-go so I am stumped on planning this (DH just says "whatever you choose will be perfect"....ugh!).
Specifics: - Kids will be included (4.5yrs & 2yrs) - Sometime between Nov & Jan - Up to 2wks - No set budget yet but would love to keep it under 5K (looking at countries where you get great bang for buck if possible!). Could go up for something amazing but I'm still going to Japan in the fall with the kids so I don't want to go crazy! - No Europe or Hawaii (our last 5 international trips were to Europe and we used to go to Hawaii when we lived in CA....never felt the love)
Argentina. It will be their summer which is a bonus.
This is why I asked....That would never have crossed my radar! Haha! Any particular area? With all of our travel neither of us has been to S. America! Would love to cross that off!

We've done Buenos Aires and Bariloche and loved both (Llao Llao in Bariloche is amazing, where we stayed). Honestly I don't think you could go wrong anywhere in SA - Chile, Peru, Colombia.
