Thanks for sharing your pictures! We are doing this in September when we go to South Africa. We dove with Galapagos sharks in Oahu, but they are so small compared to the Great Whites.

Very cool. My FIL did that in Africa when he was in his 70s (my MIL declined but they were both scuba divers in the past). Maybe one of these days we will do that too

I want to do this so badly. It has been at the top of my bucket list for far too long. There's actually a place in CA that does it, which seems a bit more doable in the near future than South Africa or Australia (these are more not doable because we have higher vacation priorities).
I did it off of Port Lincoln, South Australia which is a PITA to get to from Adelaide. BFE, really. The boat takes you to the Neptune Islands.
It was SO not scary, people! The shark didn't want to eat the fish that were hanging around, much less me.
How long were you in Adelaide? What else is there to do there?
I want to hear more about your trip to Port Lincoln. Drive/fly? Did you spend the night? Tell me about the accommodations on the boat. What did they feed you? How long did the excursion last?

Really, I want to know ALL about your trip.
We actually only stayed in Adelaide one night (the night before our 9 a.m. flight home). We were planning on going to the Barossa Valley or McLaren Vale wine regions, but got distracted by the Flinders Ranges (outback mountain range) instead.
Because we went up to Flinders Ranges we drove. From Adelaide to Flinders Ranges, then down to Port Lincoln and back to Adelaide. Had we just been going for the sharks we would've flown. It's a 45 minute flight or 5-6 hour drive.
You have to stay in Port Lincoln overnight 2 nights, as the boat departs early in the morning (6 something a.m.) and gets back late (9:30 p.m.). There is another company (Rodney Fox, I believe) that does overnight shark trips, which would be awesome. We just did a day trip on Calypso Star. There's lots of snacks and food on board, typical mostly cold food I've had on boats in Australia. There's shark documentaries playing on TV all day.
Let me know if you have other questions. I loved it so much and would totally do it again!

Those are incredible pictures. … off Port Lincoln, South Australia? The experience must have really been something. How I wish I were 35 again! Thanks for sharing.
