I'm glad someone else asked this because I keep getting tempted to go in for a wax right before delivery. The only thing holding me back is that I've never had a bikini wax before and I'm sure this isn't the best time to start. I've been shaving everything by feel for the last couple weeks. So far (amazingly) it's actually been working just fine though it's pretty frustrating.
I wish I could have, just to make it easier to clean sore tender parts after delivery. Alas, my normally high pain tolerance was out the window and I could not do it. I'd been waxing for a decade by then, too.
I don't even know where to post an intro here! I was on TK/TN/TB since 2003, mostly local boards. I was m_and_m.

Thinks are swollen down there towards the end, and way more tender. From what I hear, even regular waxers find it painful near the end. A first timer would not be good I don't think.
I went at 38 weeks - and it was more sore than usual but not horrendous. I'm glad i did, made for easier cleanup after (I bled loads for ages). Drs and nurses have seen everything so don't worry about it for the aesthetics

The post-delivery thing was a big plus in my book, too.
I've gotten tons of brazilians before and was halfway through laser hair removal when I got pg. My results were still great for a month or two after I stopped going but not any more. And I cut myself last time I shaved. :/
I'm a regular waxer now, although I wasn't with my first. I plan to keep it up. I have a pretty high pain tolerance and waxes don't bother me at all right now, so hopefully it would be okay.
Last time, I had to have a c-section (breech), and got a not very pretty shave job from the nurse. Taking the tape off sucked.

I got waxed right before each of my kids and it was so worth it! It hurt like a b but taking care of the area postpartum was very easy. I would certainly do it again if I have a third.

I've been doing it this whole pregnancy - so far, so good. I plan to try to do it shortly before my due date because I've heard the cleanup is easier (around stitches, etc.) and the thought of dealing with itchy shaving stubble on top of everything might be the straw that breaks me, lol. We'll see, though, how swollen and sore I get.
I got one around 37 weeks and am so glad I did. Yes it hurt but it has made things so much easier pp with stitches and bleeding and i feel was totally worth it!
I bought a Groupon for one. I'm not a frequent waxer but the pain has never bothered me before. I won't go right before my due date - probably around 37w.

I've heard it helps docs give excellent cosmetic results for stitches but I didn't bother the first time around. It's definitely not crazy to want to though.
I have considered it, because last time I couldn't continue to trim up down south, and my H was too much of a weenie to do it for me. So, I was pretty au naturale last time. We'll see. I've also never been waxed, so I'm a little nervous.

I don't know why women care so much about shaving regularly down there-- and most especially waxing regularly! I've waxed and shaved for vacation and wedding, but honestly DH doesn't care one way or another (he tells me he prefers au naturale) and doctors don't care or judge.
Especially in pregnancy ladies, why do we do this to ourselves?!
This is a great question. I trim but now I kind of want to start waxing. Just for the easy clean up and it hopes that I'm used to the pain by the last few weeks.

I am jealous of all of you that don't have intense pressure and soreness down there. No way could I wax even if I wanted to. There is way too much happening down there, lol. Ouch!

Speaking for me personally I don't get regular Brazilian waxes for anyone but myself and it's not for cosmetic reasons.
I hope it's not too crazy, because I plan to keep getting them through my pregnancy. I do not want to go back to shaving.
Speaking of pain, I get regular Brazilian waxes, but my last one (first one during pg) hurt more than usual. My waxer said that was normal, with the extra blood flow and hormones, but I'm hoping it doesn't get any more painful. Some of you ladies are worrying me.
My face waxing makes me cry now, and it was hardly painful before. My regular beauty therapist knew I was pregnant almost before my midwife did because of the change in my pain threshold. I know I could not handle a bikini wax now.
TMI... DH loves to trim me down there, lol. I just leave it to him when I am pregnant.
I did not (nor have I ever)...I ended up with a c-section - they had to shave me first, but they've seen it all and it was NBD. I didn't shave for a while PP because my incision took a while to fully heal.
I was getting brazilians (plus full leg and underarms) before I was pregnant so I continued throughout. I got my last one at 37w and delivered at 39w2d. It hurt but was worth it.
Mostly I am frustrated that now, post delivery, I have not figured out how to go back.
