If your placenta is attached on the left side, you're having a girl. If your placenta is attached on the right side, you're having a boy. The study shows over a 97% accuracy. I love looking up sex predictors because I find it fun. Anyone have any experience with this one?
My friend asked me to ask the US tech at my 8 week appointment with this baby. She said she couldn't tell, and did not believe in the theory. So much for that fun!
My anecdote, is that I had an anterior placenta with my son, and I believe it was on the right, as I felt most of his kicks on the left. So, maybe there's some merit!
I know she saw my placentas at the last u/s but I didn't pay attention to where they were. I have another one this Thursday so I'll see. I'm really hoping for one of each.
Mine was on the right, and at my NT Scan a few days ago, I was told I am having a boy! So in my case, this theory is correct. Although since I was only 13w3d pregnant, there is room for error still lol.
I read about this at around 5 weeks so I made sure to ask when I went in for my first U/S.
So, I'm only feeling movement on the right, so does that mean my placenta is attached on the left? If so, that means girl and according to Shettles it should be a girl.

Anatomy scan tomorrow!
Do you have an anterior placenta? If so, then yes (IF this theory is true).

Good luck tomorrow!
I have no idea! Like one of the previous posters said, I know my placenta is in my uterus and that's about it! I'll go read my NT scan results and see if it says.

They most likely would have mentioned it to you already if it was, I think I remember them telling me before my anatomy scan last time that mine was anterior. Either way, It'll be fun to see if you're right tomorrow!
Evolutionary and developmental psychologists have shown that mothers of boys differ from mothers of girls even before the babies are born. Women who were pregnant with boys were more likely to be anxious or angry during pregnancy, while the women who were pregnant with girls were more likely to stay calm. However, women pregnant with boys had better spatial skills.

Well, crap. More anecdotal evidence that #2 is going to be another boy.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
