Obviously TMI and no fun. I've been having painful diarrhea every other morning for 8 days now. It hits me first thing in the morning and I'm stuck on the toilet for 20 mins wih painful cramps and then when I'm done I'm fine for the day. I can't seem to figure out if it's something I'm eating or not. I assume it is but I've been changing up my diet all week and don't see any correlations. Anyone experience this or have ideas? I plan to mention to my dr Thursday at my apt but it's SOO annoying and uncomfortable.
I had a similar thing happen, except it was every day for I think six days, and I also couldn't find any correlation with what I was eating. I think something in my prenatal vitamin may have been upsetting my stomach, as I forgot to take my prenatal one night and was fine the next morning, but I continued with my prenatals anyway and it went away.
How far along are you? I had a pretty regular constipation/diarrhea cycle in the first tri, but it thankfully passed.
I'm 29weeks. So, not first tri and not close enough to labor
hmmmmm. I wonder if baby is just getting to a size where your intestines are being squished? Any way you can up your water intake and see if that helps break the cycle?

Ever since BFP, I've had *almost* diarrhea just about everyday. I'm just glad its this rather than the opposite- dreaded constipation hell from increase of progesterone.
There are a number of things that can cause intestinal distress that you can get sensitive to over time: coffee, eggs, almonds, almond milk, quinoa, mushrooms for starters. They aren't allergies but they all have substances in them that are stomach irritants.
Also some people don't do well on dark leafy greens like spinach or kale.

It's before I eat breakfast. It starts around 4am and is in full effect at 6 when I'm trying to get started for my day. I'll track water and see if that helps. Ugh. So annoying and nasty!
