Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. Mark Twain

I apologize first. I grew up in the Colorado mountains and my family still lives there. Since I live in Omaha (a place I absolutely loathe) I take A LOT of pictures of mountains, not just Colorado but in general.
First up the Mount Bierstadt area in Colorado. One of the 14ers.
The mountain itself. I think its got an interesting profile.
This is the cemetery where I grew up. It dates back to the founding of the area with the Colorado Gold Rush in 1859. I have trouble thinking a cemetery is anything but like this.
The Georgetown Loop Railroad and Devil's Gate Bridge in Georgetown, Colorado. This is narrow gauge and the bridge was built to overcome a very steep grade (I wanna say 8% but I can't remember the tour now even though I have heard it dozens of times). Anyway engineering marvel in its day.

Mount Rainier from an airplane window.
The Great Sugar Loaf Mountain in County Wicklow, Ireland. A lot of places call it a hill. I'd kind of agree. It's elevation is only 1,644 ft.
