I'm already out of a couple pairs of maternity pants due to being too tight when I sit, so I really see myself needing something like a jeggings or just yoga pants soon. I also want to avoid full panel pants at this point incase I get a rash on my belly again. I like dresses but still often crave my legs being covered with pants or capris. I'm all but set on some capri yoga pants but I'm not sure if they will be ok with a normal top for work. WDYT? Ok since I'm pg? We aren't horribly formal here at my work.
If you're in a casual workplace I think it would be fine. I've worn workout capris with a long top that covers my butt, and I might wear some boot leg yoga pants later in the week.

I wouldn't wear the only pair of maternity yoga pants I currently own because they are just too thin and I would feel weird wearing them out in public (but I wear the hell out of them every night at home and on the weekends), but if you had some that were a thicker material I would definitely rock them at work. In fact, the pair of black "dress" pants I'm wearing today from Motherhood Maternity feel basically like yoga pants - so comfy.
I do this often. I got "nicer" yoga pants (the BEMaternity brand from Target) and they look just like my black dress pants so I figured why not. I still wear a nice shirt and shoes.
Only you know your workplace and its dress code, so it really doesn't matter what we say.
I'd like to ditto hokiegirl82, though, and say that a couple of my full-panel maternity dress pants are so comfy they really do feel like yoga pants. I sometimes wear them with the panel rolled down below my belly, like if I'm wearing a white blouse and I don't want a dark panel to show. Maybe you can do that to alleviate the belly itching? Demi-panel pants are the devil to me.
You still have almost half your pregnancy to go, so I'd invest in comfortable maternity pants before having to bust out the yoga pants.
Yeah, tritto to what hokie and D2M said. Might as well find a pair of "real" pants that fit - I've heard that people have luck with Old Navy. And I recall reading that one of the maternity clothing brands uses cotton for their panels (H&M maybe?). I know I couldn't wear yoga pants since I'm expected to be in business dress M-Th. But, only you know your workplace/dress code/boss.
I agree with the rest of the advice to make sure the rest of your outfit is businessy. But, if professional pants don't fit/aren't comfortable it's going to affect your quality of work too. Obviously, the nicer pants, not the thin capri style.
I had one pair of "slacks" that I loved and were well-worn during pg1 w/ DD. Good luck!
I am doing this right now. I usually wear a belly band over regular work pants so I can leave them unbuttoned but I had a wardrobe malfunction with that yesterday. I am wearing a long shirt that covers my butt. I do work in a more casual work place though, no jeans.
lol, my CW has this deep-seated hatred of yoga pants in public/work setting, so I'd never hear the end of it. I also don't like tight pants outside of working out or yard work etc, so I doubt I'd feel comfortable wearing them at work. I have 100% embraced maxi skirts. I have 3 and am rotating them. I need a couple of maxi dresses and then I'll be set, I think.
