One thing I forgot about being pregnant is how bad morning sickness can be! I am having a hard time this time dealing with it. I came home from work early today because I was feeling so bad but I know I can't keep doing that. I feel queasy all day long. I feel sick if I don't eat but when I do eat, I feel sick again like I ate too much. I need some relief so I can make it through the day. I tried eating crackers or pretzels before getting out of bed but it is not helping. Last time my doctor recommended taking half a unisom and that helped but it makes me too drowsy. I can't remember if I took it before bed last time but I'm thinking I did. Any tips for dealing with this? I need to save my sick time for maternity leave! My first appt. is next week so I will definitely talk to my doctor about it but I need help getting by until then.
Nothing really made it go away, but having some sort of protein with a carb helped a little. I'd have cheese and bread, peanut butter and crackers/bread. Chicken broth for lunch/dinner seemed to help too (with saltines dipped in).
Sorry you're dealing with this. It's no fun! For me, I had to keep trying to find foods that would work. I kept trying different crackers & carbs until I landed on Goldfish. Sounds silly, but they really helped me on the days I couldn't keep anything else down.
You could also call your doctor's office & see if the nurse recommends anything over-the-counter to try in the mean time. Sometimes they can offer advice before your appointment. Good luck!
I'm a whimp too and when my ob asked how I was doing, I let her know that the MS was really getting me down (it is really). She gave me a prescription for zofran and it's helped.
I try not to take it everyday but there are just those days where it can't be stopped. I say keep eating small snacks to curb it, for me chewing gum helps too.
Thanks for the tips. I will give them a try. I may call my doctor before the appt. and see what they recommend. I feel like a whimp this time. I don't remember it being this bad last time. I'm sure it probably was and I just forgot though!

I was opposite, I knew how bad it was (towards the end I was puking up blood from the acid wearing away something in my throat. ugh, it sucked.
I don't think you are being a whimp, it sucks, it drains you.
I had terrrrible m/s with my son, so I'm trying to stay in front of it this time. I'm making sure to eat every 2 hours or so during the day, just a little. Maybe 3? IDK. I had a few pepper strips, cucumbers, and hummus at 9:30; breakfast was 6:30.
I'm also talking B6 morning and night, and I really think it's helping.

-Eat regularly. Don't wait too long in between snacks/meals to eat. That's when I would feel my worse. -Suck on hard candies or a mint. -Keep drinking lots of water, but if plain water makes you feel queasy then try adding things to it such as flavored powder mixes or fresh squeezes of fruit (I love lime). Back in first tri, I would also dilute Gatorade with lots of water, and that tasted pretty good. -Lots of people swear by ginger tea. I never used it, but ginger has been proven to help nausea. -If you're feeling gaggy, try holding your left thumb in your left hand and squeeze. Sounds weird, but it helped me tremendously when brushing my teeth and taking prenatal vitamins.
Hope you start to feel better soon! In the mean time, don't feel bad about taking medication to help with this.

Oh yeah! I hated the ginger candies (I really can't stand ginger), but bought some hard Worther's candies and would suck on those to help me through nausea when I had to be in the car for longer than 30 minutes or when I would not be able to snack regularly. They really helped!
