Mine was overall ok. Friday afternoon was DS's dr appt. He still has fluid in the ears so we are being referred to an ENT specialist. Doriswe gave me a tip to try something so we might not need tubes if it works (we are already starting to try and massage. Apparently XH knows where to do that.... go figure). Then after the appointment, I drove out to visit my BFF. We had this great night out on the town planned, but thunderstorms came in and quickly changed that. Instead it was a night in with brownies.
Saturday - she took me out to Worlds Market (never been there) and more storms came and cut that outing short. Instead, we watched movies at home. I left that night and drove home.
Sunday - Nothing special. XH dropped off DS, and then my dad and I went to the hardware store and started pricing the stuff to fence in my yard.

Looks good, MCC! Must feel great to have your own place back!
I guess I'll update on my week, since I haven't been around for a while! Last Friday, BF and I headed up to Canada for his daughter's wedding. We survived the 18 hour drive, rested for a day or two when we arrived, and then commenced a full week of cooking and baking! We were in the kitchen about 8 hours a day for the whole week!
The wedding was this past Friday. They had a courthouse ceremony, and the bride was late because her hair person was incompetent. The groom was sweating bullets waiting for her to arrive! We took pictures at a nearby park, and everyone insisted that I be included in the family pictures, which was really nice. BF gets along well with his XW, thankfully, so it wasn't awkward at all to have her whole family there. They were all really friendly to me. I had met her before, but not her family.
The reception was at BF's sister's house--she's got a great ocean-view backyard. BF and I got all the food cooked. We did a Thanksgiving dinner, basically--he deep-fried three turkeys, and I made roasted garlic smashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, sweet potato gratin, quinoa-stuffed acorn squash, mini coconut cheesecakes topped with raspberry sauce, wedding cake-shaped cutout cookies, and a chocolate raspberry cake. Everyone loved the food and the cake, which is good, since there is lots left over! BF's daughter was very appreciative of the effort we put into it, so I think I have successfully endeared myself to her (and to the rest of BF's family)! She was a bit skeptical of me last summer (understandably), but I think this did the trick.
We then survived the 18-hour drive back on Saturday, and we brought BF's son along with us. He'll be staying with BF for the summer. We did a lot of sleeping and lounging around on Sunday, since we got in at 2 am, and I was very thankful that I had frozen an enchilada casserole before we left so that I didn't have to do any cooking!

MCC-congrats on your new place!!
UDscooby--that is really awesome how you were included with his family. And that was really great of you to help out with the wedding.
My weekend was mostly crappy with some positive moments. I had a 2 hour long "therapy" session with Doris on Friday. And Sunday I spent with my family as my aunt and uncle from FL are in town. I haven't seen them in 6 years so it was really good to catch up. Plus, I absolutely ADORE my aunt and she really helped me to put things into perspective.
ETA---JMK, sorry your weekend was pretty bad as well....here is to BOTH of us starting off a more positive week!

Congrats on your "own" place Mint!!
My weekend was great! DD was here for a week (she spends most of the summer with XH), so Friday night we went swimming at our local pool.
Saturday we had pictures, and then my mom and I FINALLY finished staining my deck. I love my deck, but it is a huge PITA to stain. In the afternoon we took DD to a nearby water park and then had a sleepover at my mom's.
Sunday my mom made us cinnamon rolls and we headed home to get ready to leave to take DD back to her dad. After I dropped her off, I stopped at one of my friends' houses and had dinner.
Friday - spent a few hours chatting with Bully (which felt like 5 minutes!)
Saturday - Drunken goodness at my BFF's. I drank all of my calories for the day (thanks MFP) and we stayed up way too late drinking and giggling.
Sunday - Color Run in St. Paul with my girls. I ended up looking like a rainbow threw up on me by the end! Then we went to IHOP for red velvet pancakes (which were awesome). Then a long ride home to my kiddos and we had take out chinese because I was too tired to cook!
MCC- yay! Glad to hear such awesome things from you!
Saturday- drove home from Cape May. Laundry, unpacking.
Sunday- went to the Orioles game with T. TOTALLY different experience than going with xh. It was great. Went back to his place, watched some Mad Men, made out a bit.
Had a pretty relaxing weekend which was what I needed after going out way too much last week! (Went out Tue-Thur nights) Friday night we just relaxed and went out for burgers Saturday I didn't do much all day which was really nice too, just met a friend for happy hour and a movie and then went to bed early. I had plans to go to the casino but I am glad they fell through! Sunday I did a little cleaning, then went to my sister's for lunch. Not sure what happened there because she started freaking out on me over something stupid. Think there is something bigger going on but not sure what. Like she got mad at me the other day over cupcakes. I'm pretty much had it with her right now. Then Sunday afternoon I went shopping! It was kind of frustrating because I really need skirts and I only ended up getting one, but I found some really cute tops and lots of stuff on sale. It's nice to come to work on Monday morning with new clothes! Then last night LB cooked me dinner which was really nice. It's probably been over a year since a guy has cooked me dinner.
Friday I took off to join BF at Six Flags for the day. The army was having an event there. I had fun at the park and we had a good day together. I scored a cool cup, new sandals and a fun beach towel.
Saturday I had all these things I was going to accomplish. I was going to buy stuff for my apartment, craft and write. I accomplished nothing because it was one of those days where things just kept going wrong and nothing was working out. I was so annoyed because I had this day all to myself to finally crank out some creative projects and yeah, total fail. I did get to finally sign up for my GW classes so that was exciting and BF really said all the right things to get me out of my slump so that was good too.
Sunday BF surprised me with a canoe trip down the Potomac! It was awesome and I loved it. We did capsize though and I actually am quite sore today from it. He also taped SYTYCD for me so we watched it when we got home. He's been great and yet I still am torn lately on how I feel and it is frustrating me. I don't know if I am self-sabotaging my relationship or if I have legit concerns.
Next month we have a trip planned and I think it's going to be a make it or break it trip. Maybe it's bad to go in thinking that way but by then it's 3 months and I feel like I should know if this has a future or not by then. I am definitely going to see how I feel during the trip and really think about it.

Glad the move went well MCC, and I have to say that so far DJ sounds like a keeper!
This weekend was my Tough Mudder, what a great weekend! On Friday me and T drove 3 hours up to Mt. Snow, Vermont where the challenge was being held. My boss let me use his condo there for free, it was right at the mountain so it was perfect. My friend and her husband came up on Friday as well. We went out for a bit Fri. night but I took it easy of course.
Sat. morning I met up with my team and we went out in the 9:20 wave. It was definitely the most challenging atheltic thing I've done, and also very mentally challenging. 10 miles of going up and down the mountain about 6 times, along with the actual obstacles and the 85 degree heat and sun. It was great having T and my friends cheering me on along the way. I did have to break away from the team finally, we had 3 people who were continuously falling behind and at every obstacle or water stop we were waiting 20 minutes for them to catch up. I knew I was going to lose my steam and/or cramp up standing around so long, so finally me and 2 othe guys went rogue. I guess an obstacle or 2 later the rest of the team did the same and stopped waiting around for the other 3. Eventually everyone made it to the finish though, it took me 5 hours, probably would have finished in 4 without the waiting around.
Did a big dinner with the team that night and then went out and celebrated. Yesterday and today I am unbelievably sore alllllllll over but I'll do it again next summer, and after watching it T is dying to sign up for next year. He was so proud of me and calling and texting everyone to tell them how great I did. It was really cute.
Friday night was fun - hung out with my cousin and some of his friends. Hit it off with one of his friends.
Saturday - walked out on a date. Then went to dinner with my temp. roommate and her daughter and to a dueling piano bar. It was a fun time.
Sunday - had to work for a few hours in the morning. Went to the company picnic. Which wasn't as bad as I had imagined. I usually hate those type of things. Had dinner with a coworker in town from Kansas. Then went to the bar next door and had a few more drinks.
I'm bummed because it rained non stop over here and I couldn't play tennis at all. I'm addicted so I WILL find the way to play at least twice during the week.
Congrats on the condo MCC! I like your couch - where's it from?
I had an overall good weekend, though I'm tired as hell this morning. Saturday we worked in the yard, and then I got my hair done (I went darker). After that, BF and I headed out to the beach to walk the boardwalk, tourist-gawk, and have some beers. My knee was killing me, so we didn't make it very far. Why does beer taste so much better when you're by the ocean?
Sunday we cleaned the house, ran some errands, and then relaxed the rest of the day.
On Saturday night, BF and I talked in-depth about our 5 year plan - where we want to be living, what we want to be doing with our careers. Can I just say how refreshing it is to be with someone who's into talking about the future? It's just so EASY with him. We also talked more about getting engaged. I think it'll happen sometime before the end of the year.

It was ok, exceedingly productive, just not special.
Friday, spent some time with friends then chilled at home. Saturday, did some laundry, ran errands, had contractors out to the house (they still don't have all the right parts for the windows they installed in May), had a good violin lesson, baked brownies and went to a party at the pub. ExBF ran into me at the party, and said he still loves me. The boy can't figure out why he's an ex. Not that he's s bad guy but really not right for me. Sunday caught up on more chores, yardwork, laundry, errands, then crashed and read most of a book.
Today my knee is super sore from the yardwork as are my back and shoulders. I have dinner plans with a good friend tonight.
Friday I flew to Portland and my two friends and I went to an amazing restaurant on top of a building that grew their own garden.. it was super yummy! Then we went to a cool bar where like 8 different groups of guys talked to us and we had tons of fun being silly with them.
Saturday we went to a farmers market, a huge street fair, a sex shop and nordstom. I got a really cute picture for my office and book about oral sex and two pairs of toms (normal and wedges). Saturday night we went to a really nice seafood restaurant.
Sunday I got to have brunch with one of my mom's friends from CA that helped me a lot through my divorce.. she works at a domestic violence shelter and she was able to give me a lot of insight into my ex during the divorce. Now that two years has past she said I am doing great but that it's normal for it to take a very long time to get over divorce.
Last night back in Boise I went to see Joshua Radin... he was so good! He is touring the Tristan Prettyman and her new songs were really good... they were all about her broken engagement with Jason Mraz so it was very interesting.
Overall it was an amazing summer weekend full of good friends, food, weather, conversation and music!!
Im glad you had a great time in Portland!
And I saw Tristan Prettyman when she was with Jason Mraz (so he surprised us and sang too) and love Joshua Radin!!
