About this time last year, my youngest sister was in town from FL and commented that it looked like the baby had dropped...mind you, I was approximately 30-31 weeks along at the time. So I was like "Well crap, I hope not!" and she asked "Why? Is it bad?" I had to tell her that it's not exactly bad but "dropping" is considered an indicator that the baby could be coming soon which naturally I did not want happening at that point in my pregnancy. She had always heard that comment made to very pregnant women and assumed it meant that the baby was looking comfy in there or something...oy. For someone as smart as she is, she sure can be a bonehead
Ha! I don't miss that at ALL. She had always heard that comment made to very pregnant women and assumed it meant that the baby was looking comfy in there or something...
3 people just today have asked me about the name. We've decided on one but I'm just telling coworkers that we haven't decided yet. It's easier than saying we've decided but aren't telling.
If someone asks me about dilation I will DIE and tell them that I am not discussing my cervix at work! lololol!!!

um really, ok
Seriously. I asked her if the blonde hair dye she uses to touch up her roots every few months was soaking into her brain or something. On the upside, the whole situation brought about a nice talk about why the only thing that is ever appropriate to say to someone you know that is pregnant is "You look beautiful/great/amazing!" no matter how far along they are.
