Are you getting any t-shirt onesies/tops for your baby or are you going straight to long sleeves? With my first I know we still wrapped her in a receiving blanket often but still this one may hate being wrapped up.
There are sales right now for baby clothes but I'm having a September baby. I'm in upstate NY so even by late August it can get cool again.
This one will be in long sleeves from the start and forever! Very cool and damp where I am for most of the year.
Don't get sucked into buying all that cute summer clothing when you're due in the fall. Did that with my first, an October baby, and everything was too lightweight for fall and winter.

I'm from upstate new york too! But other than that, I was just wondering the same thing. I'm due at the end of August and will probably focus on long sleeves since you never know what the weather will be like.

I'll reuse whatever of DS's clothes we can, but he was a May baby so was just in short sleeve onesies all the time. I'll probably get a bunch of long sleeve onesies and footed pants and sleepers for the newborn stage. We live in a very mild climate so I don't need a lot of warm clothes.
I'm going to go through all of DS's clothes once we know the sex so I'll know what I'm keeping and what I need to get.
I've been wondering about this too since I'm due Sept. 2. I'm trying to not get too much that's short sleeved, but we could still have a few weeks of hot weather. But really I have no idea how to dress a baby, so I guess it will be trial and error when the time comes.
I'm due 9/4 and it could either be 90 or 70 then. We plan to get a few short sleeve onesies and have plenty of sleepers for the first few months. It's likely to be cool with the air condition even if it is still warm outside.
