We know what cribs we want and I'm just wondering if I should order them this month or wait? We'll be painting the nursery the beginning of June and then will be able to put the cribs together. I want to get it done early because I'm still debating the layout.
We're ordering them from Walmart and I just don't want to order them and they be here next week and take up space. If that's the case I'll wait until we paint.
We ordered our crib last week and it should be delivered on Friday. We ordered our crib from Amazon and it said it would only take 5-7 days for delivery, so that's why we waited until now to order.
If you are ordering from Walmart, I think you could order about a week out from when you want to receive it. But I would continue to look at the listing online to make sure nothing has changed.
We ordered as soon as we found out it was a boy. We wanted dark furniture for a boy or white for a girl. I think we ordered on 2/1 and it and the dresser came in on 4/18. We ordered Young America from Stanley and I think their pieces are made once the order is placed.
I think you'll get a faster turn around time on something from a mass retailer, though.
Huh. I'm 31 weeks and haven't thought about ordering it. I have it picked out though.
I guess I don't feel a rush since I am planning to have her in with us at the very beginning (probably in a RNP?), but we should probably get going on that.
I'm due in early September and only ordered it last week. It's coming from NFM the 2nd week of June, or thereabouts. The nursery still isn't cleared out, nevermind painted :-#
I ordered a Delta crib and dresser from Walmart in March. I'm glad I did it then instead of waiting because some of the parts were damaged and I had to have new ones sent. Just today I got the last piece I've been waiting for but haven't had the energy to open the box and make sure it's in acceptable condition. They were great about replacing with no questions asked and it only took about a week-10 days for each piece but one came damaged twice, so there's been a decent wait time.
I ordered it when I was around 20 weeks, and it arrived in 3 days (from Wayfair). H assembled it around 2 weeks after it arrived, mostly because DD1 arrived unexpectedly early & I didn't want to be completely unprepared again. I got the nursery pretty much done 3 weeks ago.
I ordered it around 22 weeks from Ikea. It came in about a week. We didn't assemble it until last week, though, which was 28 weeks. That's the only furniture we have ready though.
I'm 22 weeks (in a day) and we've had our crib for about three weeks now. We ordered early because I heard that it was being discontinued and I didn't want to start my search over again.
I ordered mine today at 23 weeks and change (well, my mom did.) Buy Buy Baby said it would take 8-12 weeks. I'd feel a lot better if it comes within the 8 week range but even 12 weeks should be ok.
