Because I don't know what to Google exactly. But just today I have noticed a "ridge" or bulge on the top of my belly, about midway between my belly button and my breasts, running horizontally across. Is this where my uterus ends and rest of my insides begin? This is the first time I've noticed it and I'm not sure if it's normal or something I should worry about heh. Forgive me if this is a totally stupid question!
We're within a few days of each other and I think our utes are higher than that now. Mine was up around my rib cage/bottom of my bra last time they measured me.
It looks like the baby - if you push on it can you feel it move? My stomach does that sometimes when my little guy pushes his butt or back out. If I feel around and push on him, I can feel his whole body move if that makes sense.
I'm 33w3d today. I guess it could be the baby but when I pushed on it it just felt squishy, like there wasn't much behind it, and the baby didn't move when I pressed there. Also, the baby has been moving around much lower than that.
I should add that the picture makes it look lower than it was, but the bulge was pretty much in line with my rib cage. I happened to notice it when I had a full stomach both times yesterday. It's not there today, but I'll see what happens after I eat.
I don't think it's the top of your uterus, mine comes all the way up right under my boobs now. Maybe it's the edge of the placenta? I wouldn't worry too much about it.
I have that ridge. Just recently noticed it. I was blaming my uterus, but I guess not...?
It's gone today, so I don't know what's up. I have an appointment on Monday so I'll ask about it then. At least I don't feel any different, so I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.
ETA: Lol nope, I lied, it's there still. It's more pronounced when I lean back a little bit which is what I just did.
I wonder if you are engaging your stomach muscles at all when you lean back? And you are seeing the line between where those end and the ute begins? Or maybe your uterus is contracting and you are seeing the line from that?
