So mine couldn't seem to buy his own mother anything.
BUT. He woke me up this morning with breakfast in bed (WITH fresh baked muffins) and a pregnant momma bedside kit. Gingerale, saltines, mini luna bars, nuts, dried fruit and a body pillow. Sometimes he is just so awesome!!
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
Nice job, Mr. Julius. I asked dh to get me breakfast (I was totally kidding, but he went out like immediately! Woop!), and he got me a card. I was happily surprised.

Thumbs up to the bedside kit! I could have used something like that from DH, especially with #2.
I got the usual...DH picked up a card at Target on the way home from work Friday night and had the girls sign it this morning (when #1 called #2 down to the kitchen, I told her "go ahead and sign Mommy's card"...#1 wanted to know how I knew what they were doing and I had to explain that after 13 years of marriage, I know what's what). We did go out to lunch, too. I wanted frozen yogurt later but know better than to push my luck so I picked up some ice cream at the grocery store after lunch and we'll do make your own sundaes instead.
Mine did nothing today and it looks like I'll have to wait until my kid is old enough to do something on his own for me. H still hasn't called his own mother yet and I'm not sure if he intends to. He's not much of a holiday guy so I'm not surprised.
Last year he gave me a card from our cats. He's a little girly about this stuff, but I keep him.
Mine did that one year. He just seems disconnected from everything this year.
I get like that some years too. I just can NOT get into any holiday and I feel bad, but it just happens. Maybe DH is just having one of those years.
So to make up for it...
Happy Mother's Day to you!! Happy Mother's Day to you!! Happy Mother's day dear tttttthhhhhhaaaatttttggggiiirrrlllllllllllllllllll.... Happy Mother's Day to you!!
I use the happy birthday "song" for all holidays. You will just have to deal with it. Lol.

DH came to me yesterday after DS's party (he turned two yesterday) and admitted that between the party prep and my parents being in town, he hadn't gotten me a damn thing. He asked what I would like and I told him that I wanted to go to the movies by myself today after my parents leave (one of my favorite treats). So that's what I'm doing! I also hinted that he could bring me home surprise flowers sometime in the near future.
I was worried he'd spend a huge amount that we can't really afford having flowers delivered out of laziness so I'm pretty pleased with this outcome.
My DH attempted to make pancakes this morning but they were a ridiculous flop and went in the trash. I got a laugh out of it and told him he has another year to practice. So the local breakfast place came through for us!
