That's sort of what I thought. I was all ready to wait and worry like a normal and then a friend told me to get checked and it made me crazier than I already am.
For my first pregnancy I was just told to see them in 8 weeks but after I started IF treatments betas were taken all the time. I think it's only a frequent thing if previously known issues are involved.
I had betas checked because I'm using an RE and used clomid to get pregnant. It's not standard for a normal pregnancy with no risk factors or history.
What kind of pain are you experiencing? I had some mild cramping for a week or two. I get stabbing pain but its either on my left or right side so I'm thinking its rlp as well.
Beta will just confirm you are pregnant. If you think something else is wrong you'd have to wait for an u/s. I went in at 6 weeks for my first one. If the pain is to the point you can't handle or you have strong bleeding then I'd call again.
