Since Sunday afternoon I've barely felt her move. We've been pretty busy, but at night I haven't felt anything and this morning didn't either. Usually I get some big movements at night where she is rolling around or whatnot, but if I have felt anything its been more of a tap. Would you call?
I'm eating a granola bar right now and drinking some water to see if this helps at all. Also, I have had the worst sciatica pain the last couple of days to the point I was limping last night to get around, not sure if it could be related at all.
My ob had me come in when I had decreased movement along with constant side pain a few weeks ago. Of course, as soon as they hooked me up the monitors he decided it was time to party.
They suggested laying on my side, drinking something cold, and eating something sweet if it happens again. Also, to go to a quiet place when lying down - as movement gets more frequent it's easier to ignore if you're not focused on it. Also, poking around on your belly may get her moving. I know my guy takes it as an invitation for target practice when anything rests against my belly.
Ha, my LO also makes his opinion known if there's something on my belly. I had a monitor on yesterday and it kept jumping up because he was kicking the shit out of it. Even what I'm wearing can have an impact on his movement - if I'm wearing a dress he's pretty quiet, but a slim-cut pair of pants gets his ass moving.
My doctor has yet to discuss kick counts with me, but I'm not exactly thrilled with them right now so take that with a giant boulder of salt.

We've talked about kick counts and i'm trying to keep track. Probably the days before she was really moving a lot, and now has calmed down a bit which is what I'm noticing.
I have the same thing usually when something is on my stomach. Was using it to prop up my ipad last week and it kept bouncing up and down. But of course whenever I try to get FI to feel it, she calms right down.

I'm pretty sure when I was as far along as you were I also had really quiet days. Usually he/she was super active the previous day.
I'm 34 weeks today and lately I've been noticing quiet days again, or at least more quiet times than in the previous weeks where it felt like baby was moving ALL day long. I asked my doctor about it yesterday and she said as long as I'm feeling 10 movements in 2 hours, everything should be fine. She said like 99% of women that come in for decreased movement are fine, and really put me at ease. Also, I'm happy to know they don't worry if I'm feeling at least 10 movements in 2 hours, that seems pretty achievable. My other doctor also mentioned that babies go through about 45 minute sleep cycles too, so that could be something to keep in mind.

Thanks! and thanks for letting me ask you ladies before I call my doctor for every little thing. I don't want to miss something but don't want to over react either, its hard sometimes! But of course now shes moving a lot, was just a slow 24 hours.
I'm glad you're feeling more! I'm also glad i have an appt tomorrw, cause y'all are making me paranoid. Kick counts per hour in 2nd tri?! I maybe have 10 per WEEK, forget hour.

I wouldn't do kick counts even now unless I was worried about decreased movement. Some ob offices have you start them in 3rd tri, but mine doesn't. Which is a good thing - one less thing to worry about!
I also seriously cheated at kick counts the time or two I've done them. A swift kick to the cervix? He's fine. A butt rolling from one side to the other? He's fine. I figure those movements surely count as more than 1.
I bet your movements pick up really soon and you won't even have to worry about it. I went from cute little kicks and taps to "I think this baby is going to break out any second" really fast. So prepare yourself. And your cervix and your bladder.

See that's the only part that causes me any concern. My ob said this to me a month ago, and I haven't had any increase in movement at all, frequency nor intensity. He's definitely still moving most nights, so I'm just going to assume that (a) I'm fat, and (b) he's chill.
FastHands - mine picked up late 2nd tri/early 3rd tri. And it happened super fast. You still have time! or you may have a conscientious baby who knows it not nice to cervix punch his host.
Just a couple of weeks ago I was bragging that my fetus was sleep trained because he would wiggle around during predictable times of the day, but largely leave me alone at night.
