We're planning on taking the kids for a day or two to Sesame Place sometime this summer since I'll be on maternity leave anyway. We haven't nailed down exact dates yet. Does anyone have any hotel recs for the area? I've been looking at the Stay and Play package but I'm not sure if that would get us the best deal.
For those that have been there, anything I should know about the park or the area?
It looks like there are a few Princeton-area hotels associated with the Stay & Play package. Rule those all out, they could be 45 minutes from the park, with traffic, especially if you go on a weekday.
I'd rank them in the following order, having not stayed at any of them, but having lived in the area for 10ish years: Sheraton & Springhill Suites (2 closest) Residence Inn Langhorne Holiday Inn Langhorne Courtyard Langhorne (each a 2-5 minute drive depending on traffic lights)
Just say no to any of the Levittown hotels, if you don't do one of the packages, but go through Priceline or similar. They basically all back up to the PA TPK.
s/o - what's the youngest age appropriate for SP? DD is just under 2 and loves Elmo. Wondering if it is worth the trip/$$$
My CW is taking her 26 month old for the first time this summer, when she'll be anywhere between 28 & 30 months. I think 2-2.5-ish is about the right age. I live 15 minutes away, so I can see us getting season passes for the summer where DD will be 2 at the very end of the season.

I can't say for certain as we've never been. My girls will be 4.5, 3, and about 2 months old when we're thinking if going. I was worried that DD1 would be too old for it as she's not that into Sesame Street anymore but after looking at the website, I think she'll still have a blast on the rides and in the water park even if she couldn't care less about the characters.
It looks like kids age 2 and above require a ticket. I would probably want my kid to be at least 2 in that case to make sure they can actually ride the rides and such to get the most bang for your buck. Even though they're free under age 2, the tickets for both you and your DH would still be somewhat expensive. Again, this is coming from someone who's never been there so I could be totally off.
Oh, also, we're debating whether we should make this a one or two day trip. Is there enough to do there or in the area for two days?
I don't know about Sesame Place itself being worth 2 days, but you're only going to be 25-35 minutes outside of CC Philadelphia with the Please Touch Museum, Franklin Institute, etc.

DD loooooooooooooves the Please Touch Museum. I'll be taking her to the Franklin Institute for the first time next month.
I can't opine on any of the hotels around Langhorne. When we go to that area, we typically stay right in Philadelphia proper or just drive/take the train straight back to NY. There's definitely enough to do in Philly to stay for a few days with a kid.
