A reached down and grabbed his junk (all of it in one hand!) for the first time during a diaper change last week. I was surprised it took that long to happen because he is so grabby. I texted DH and wrote it on the baby calendar.
A couple days before that he had his first minor fever. He hasn't had any real illnesses yet, so I sort of count that. It may have been teething related or it may have been that in the days prior I let him chew on other baby's toys without washing anything and let other babies play with his face.
On Mother's day I had to remove him from a public place for the first time. We took him to a museum and I had to take him outside because he was whining really loud (he was tired and trying to fall asleep in the carrier) and the museum was really resonant as well as being quiet like a library because it's not the kind of place you can really bring little kids to. Lots of breakables and stuff on open display.
Oh this is a reverse twy sentra. J started counting our coffee canisters tonight - picking them out of the drawer, pointing, and saying "one, two, three." So of course I google "when can children count" and I am getting 8-10 months old. lolol. my child is behind!!! This is what you get for googling.
well then, i'm definitely a failure of a parent. my kid cant even SAY one, two or three, let alone know what it means. shit, she still only has about 7 words total.
i'm impressed J said shit in the right context. am I MOTY if I don't think I'd get upset over that as long as she said it that way, instead of calling someone a shit?
