I posted this on MM as well, but I think there are several people on ML who live in Denver.
My H and I just planned a weekend trip to Denver with my BFF and her husband. None of us have ever been before so we need recs on what to do!
We're getting there Thursday night and leaving Sunday morning. We are staying at the Four Seasons. The husbands are going to the Denver Comic Con during the day, and BFF and I are planning to lounge at the Four Seasons spa and by the pool and perhaps venture out for a little bit of shopping, so we'll probably mostly be venturing out in the evening.
We are probably not going to rent a car, so unless Denver has good public transportation, we'll probably want to stick close to downtown (short cab rides would be fine).
So, hit me: where to eat, where to shop, etc. TIA!
Let's see... Downtown... Check out the Ballpark neighborhood. There are a bunch of great spots over there. Work & Class is new and I've heard amazing things, but haven't been yet. Biker Jim's hotdogs are delicious (wild boar!). Larimer Square is a cool place to walk through in the evening. South Platte street has a bunch of great shops, including my favorite spice shop, Savory. Little Man Ice Cream in the Highlands (just a short walk across the bridge over the highway) and Masterpiece Deli are both delicious.
I've heard good things about the aquarium, but haven't been myself. Maybe a Rockies game if they're still playing (I don't follow baseball). If you're able to get out of the city, we're supposed to have great weather this weekend, a hike at Red Rocks would be fun, especially if you haven't seen the amphitheater. There are usually a couple of plays going on downtown... A guy in my gym said he saw Once last weekend and said it was great. The REI flagship store is downtown and pretty cool to walk through. It's gigantic.

I live right by the Four Seasons and love my neighborhood. Euclid Hall is just two blocks away from the 4 Seasons and is very uniquely Colorado. Crave dessert bar is a great after dinner place for drinks. Across the street from the convention center. For shopping, check out Larimer Square. If you like chain stores, the Pavilions Mall is good (Gap, Banana, H&M). The ballpark area is great at night and has a ton of bars and good eats. Vesta Dipping Grill, Marco's Pizza, and Mexico City are good.
Get the Uber app- our cabs are very unreliable, especially for short rides around downtown. I use UberX everywhere I go. If you like soccer, check out if there is a game that weekend. There is a party shuttle that runs from downtown to the field and back. Good times.
Brunch- Corner Office, Rialto, and Zengo are all very close. Great Divide Brewing, RiNo, and Epic are all nearby for beer tours.
