Last Friday I was shopping on Amazon and ran across a BOB revolution se stroller that was listed for $26.83 (yes, you're seeing that correctly) from a third party seller called Imagine Products. Of course, I purchased it immediately and have eagerly been stalking my Amazon account waiting for it to ship.
Today, I received an email notifying me that my order has been cancelled because the seller listed the price incorrectly.
I'm so bummed. Deep down I knew the price was too good to be true and something was bound to go wrong.
Do I have any options at this point? Has this ever happened to you? Would you contact Amazon or the third party seller to fight for the stroller at that price?
If you would contact the seller, care to help me word an email?
As long as your credit card wasn't charged, which I'm doubting it was, there's nothing to really write a letter about. It's disappointing, but a mistake. The seller would surely lose a ton of money if they had to honor that price.
No, sorry. Third party sellers list prices and inventory wrong all the time. Several times I've ordered things only to have it canceled because the 3p seller didn't have it in stock at all.
ETA you can and should leave negative seller feedback. They might contact you and offer some sort of deal, discount on your next purchase, etc., if you remove it. And if they don't contact you, they deserve the negative feedback.
i'm willing to fight with target over $5 if something is mislabeled, but it seems pretty shitty to push something this extreme. you knew the price was wrong in the beginning and, while i don't think it's wrong to place the order and hope it goes through, i would never expect a company to honour a price mistake that drastic.
