So far DS doesn't like to be worn in the Moby or the Becco, but I'm not sure if he can sense our discomfort. How would a Maya ring sling work? Would he like that better?

I am interested in this as well. We have an ergo and A hates it 90% of the time. I am hoping a ring sling might be better, but the options are overwhelming.

How old is your DS? We started the ring sling around 2wks. DS hated the moby, ktan and ergo. Around 2 months he liked the ktan and only now (4mo) does he like the ergo.
He's three months, but he was five weeks early. When he's awake, he's not really a fan of anyone holding him. He wants to be down on the floor, kicking at his toys. We haven't tried them in two weeks or so, maybe we should try again before I buy another carrier.
A ring sling is one of my favorite carriers; I used it with an itty bitty newborn and I love it for a hip carry with an older baby/toddler. The price on the Hava is excellent and it looks okay. I prefer a pleated shoulder to gathered, but that's not an "everybody agrees" thing. People do tend to dislike the padded shoulder on the Maya.
twodogsandababy, I also really like my ring sling. I also like mei tais for the first 6 months or so (I'm not super into them for bigger/heavier kids). They have a clearance Freehand, or you can get the Infantino wrap and tie for under $30. It has very long straps and can adapt to a huge variety of sizes.
