I think my baby forgot me :(

I got home yesterday at noon.  Yay!  So excited to be back with my boys.  BUT, Elijah just looked at me weird all day.  He doesn't really want anything to do with me.  He keeps looking for my husband when he is with me.  I think that he totally forgot who I am.  I am so sad.  I did not think at all it would happen, especially since we Facetimed a lot and he seemed to smile and recognize me then.  I also think he is getting sick of my constant kisses and snuggles, he just pushed me away and crawled to my husband and put his arms up for him to pick him up.

Sounds like what our cats did to my mom if she went away when I was little! I agree with spanikopita. He didn’t forget you; quite the contrary: he remembers you and loves you enough to have missed you and hold a grudge. Ha!

This is true. Just be glad he is a baby. He'll be over it soon. It's a lot worse when they can talk :/

At around that age DS2 wanted nothing to do with me and only wanted his dad, and I didn't travel away from him. Babies go through preference periods. Give it a bit, and he'll be all over you and want nothing to do with your DH.

Hi, welcome back! When B cries in the MOTN I try to give him hugs because that used to work and now he slaps my arms away. They're just testing us. Damn babies.

Over FaceTime.  I couldn't hold it in.  I was too excited.  He was thrilled.  Maybe that is why E is being naughty.  He wants to be an only child.

DH and I went away for a week a few weeks ago. DD ignored us too. She wanted to be with the grandparents. Its there way of saying hey, why did you leave me!

B is all "Dada" all the time! DH swears he says Mama a lot when I'm not around, but I'm not sure I believe it since he seems so daddy-focused. It's normal!
