I mentioned in the latest Disney thread that we are planning our fall vacation. It will be a week somewhere - deciding between the beach somewhere and Disney. How do you pack for baby? I know most resorts will have a crib or pack n play, but what about a high chair? Do we bring our own portable? What about toys? We will already be checking the stroller and the carseat. Traveling with a baby scares me! J will be about 15 months when we go.
We are leaving on Friday so my advice may be useless as I don't know if it will work or not. We are going to the beach for 8 days. As far as highchair we ordered a Phil & Ted's lobster after being out at dinner and DS flopping all around in the wooden highchair. He is 8 months and can only last maybe 20 mins in the highchair before falling over. It only weighs 5 pounds so we will be checking it.
I am going to bring small toys that fit in the diaper bag/carry on along with 2 sippy cups, disposable bibs, and spoons. I am checking out car seat and stroller and bought a bag with wheels that can also be carried as a backpack.
So far our travel has been to visit my parents so we haven't brought too much. I packed a couple of books, measuring cups and a couple jars of sprinkles (he's obsessed with shakers!) to play with on the plane. Though the highlight was the tray :-)
This summer we are renting a house in OBX. Per the description they have a pack and play and high chair - so could depend on where you're staying.
