If the money isn't an issue, I'd stay where you are. Having to leave at 5:20 every day and drive 30-40 minutes sounds a little hellish. And I'm partial to nice playgrounds.
Plus you will be anxious during that drive if you hit traffic. It would be easy to negate the cost savings with late pick up fees if you run into trouble.
What's the reason for looking for a new daycare? That will affect my answer.

Since it doesn't sound like the reason you are looking at options has anything to do with bad feelings about your current center, I would most likely stay put for now and stay on the waitlist to keep your options open.
I would stay too. Our daycare is close to my work and not close to home or dh's work. But he lives it there and I get warm fuzzies, so we deal with the location.
Well, I just had a similar situation and opted for #2. I did this because the kids were in the car on the busiest highway in town for 45 minutes to 1 hour every day. By the time they get home, they have under an hour to eat dinner, bathe, and go to sleep...... So #2 works for us because having them closer to home means they get more time at home. (Dad works closer to home or at home some days, so that's how they get more time at home)
After having done 3 daycare switches in 4 years, I can say that the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know. If you don't have issues with your kids in the car as long as mine, $150 a month isn't compelling enough to rock the boat.
Strong vote for sticking with the current one. In my experience, the stress of getting to daycare on time at the end of the day, even if it is only every once in a while, is not worth it. It throws off the mood for the whole evening. We are so much more relaxed in the evenings since we started at a daycare with later hours (even though we still pick up at the same time as the old daycare most of the time).
I would definitely stay with the first one unless you are broke broke broke. You will be hassled twenty days a month for pickup for $150 in savings. And what's the cost if you are late to pickup... $30? That will eat up the potential savings.
