Omg! I'm so sorry! MH's parents had to talk to social workers when he was a kid because he broke his arm 3 time before he was like 6 years old. Nothing came of it and I'm sure y'all will be just fine.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this. Like PP said, think of it as them making sure Greta is safe. They care about her. Once they see that you're a happy, safe family, it will be over.
I had several injuries back to back as a kid (super clumsy) and they investigated my mom. I'm so sorry, I cannot imagine! You're gonna pass their checks with flying colors.

You have nothing to hide and all they will discover is that you are a great mom. Let them do their duty and I know it is super easy to be rude and upset, but don't give them any ammunition. You guys are great parents.

I'm sorry, I can understand how stressful this must be.
Kasper and Carey gave wonderful advice, they aren't doing this to hurt but just making sure no allegations go unchecked. MIL is an investigator with CPS and does these types of visits all the time.
Try to just be calm and explain everything. It will be OK.
They have to investigate any allegation. Tell them that you had concerns about her shoulder from the beginning. Make note that you took her to the pediatrician to have the matter looked at right away. I'm sure nothing will come of the situation but I'm very sorry that you're being put through this.
This. Sorry you are being put through this and hope drs are able to figure out what is going on.
I'm so sorry. Same thing happened to my coworker a few years ago and everything turned out alright. Unexplained breaks are a "red flag" for them so I imagine they report most of them to CPS. Try not to stress too much, after a home visit hopefully they will leave you alone.

I agree. I know it's very stressful, but just be calm and answer their questions and I'm sure they will close the case quickly. Thinking of you guys.
Someone asked me to come and comment. I had something like this happen, but the Dr out and out accused my son who is special needs of beating my daughter. We talked to CPS, and it was pretty stupid, tiresome. We had to keep my son home from school so they could interview him, and both me and my husband. We had paperwork that proved something was actually wrong that was causing the bruises and no one was abusing, so they closed the case. Our Dr was an asshole about the whole thing, and wrote some things on the paperwork that got him into trouble about it. Just stay calm, be ready to answer the same question in about 30 different ways. If you have any paperwork explaining have that on hand, maybe a extra copy or two. If you want to ask me anything feel free to message me.
I'm sorry that happened but am glad that people are looking out for kids in your community. Even though you guys are wonderful parents, so many aren't. ((Hugs))

I was nice. It isn't the social worker's fault and he was a really nice person. The good thing about living in the country is that you don't get too much ego. I do feel violated. He said that it can be very difficult to get CPS out of your life so if my kids get hurt will they come again? I know I have nothing to hide. I just feel like I go to try and get my kid some help and then I'm hit with this mess. Plus gossipy neighbors.
Did he say the case was unsubstantiated? Is he closing it out or did he schedule another visit? They understand that kids get hurt so try not to worry about every little thing. I also forgot to mention that the hospital has a "duty to report" so someone was likely covering their butt when they made the report. I say you've earned a glass (bottle) of wine.

Is it possible she got tweaked, for lack of better words, during the c-section? I know that sometimes they really have to yank them to get them out. Just curious if that has come up at all.

Thanks. I'm sure the fact that I was demanding to go home last night didn't help. Cause ya know everyone is rational when they haven't slept in 20+ hours
I glad it went well. Our social worker was nice, but I was so pissed at the point I am glad he didn't hold it against me. I also got in a huge shouting match with the Dr so I am sure he ran and reported me as fast as he could. I am also a little overprotective of my son. Did they close the case or leaving it open?
