Oh my gosh. I'm sorry you have to go through this. You guys are great parents and I know this will get resolved quickly. In the meantime I know it's got to be infuriating to say the least. I understand why they are doing this but you can't help but feel how you are. Big hugs.
Case is still open. The social worker will be calling my OB. Tomorrow I have to go to a child abuse clinic so they can evaluate her.
I'm sorry this is going on. It sucks that Greta was flagged, but try ( I know, shut up with this shit Fryjack) to think of all the kids this protocol has helped. Don;t think of it as a reflection on your parenting. Its standard protocol. Unexplained fractures, retinal hemmorhaging, bruising, etc all must be reported or else the physician/nurse can get in serious trouble.
Once they talk to your pedi and see the timeline of events, and speak to the OB, who will look into the delivery a little closer, they should close the case.
A broken collar bone with no known cause is a red flag. BUT no other injuries and no issues with O&H should make them close the case pretty fast.
Hugs Gisa. My close friend who is a social worker has even had Cps come to her house bc her son had too many broken bones. Just clumsy. We all know you are an excellent mother. Hoping you get the right treatment for her soon
Oh Gisa, I can't imagine how stressful this must be. It's great that they have strict protocols in place to protect kids who are truly abused, but that doesn't make it any easier when you're the one under the microscope. I hope the follow-up visits are as easy as possible and that it wraps up quickly.
Is it possible she got tweaked, for lack of better words, during the c-section? I know that sometimes they really have to yank them to get them out. Just curious if that has come up at all.
I was thinking this too! Regardless, I'm sorry this is happening and I hope they close the case quickly and that Greta is healing/feeling better soon!
Lots of big hugs! It sounds like you did well with the social worker. I'm sorry you have to go to the clinic tomorrow though. Do you have an ortho appt yet?
At least you have it on record that you've been trying to get her feeling better for weeks- I would assume most of the people CPS encounters don't exactly seek out treatment for their kids.
I'm so sorry you have to go through all of this. Hopefully it is all over quickly and things can go back to normal. ((Hugs)) you're a great mom. You're kids are happy, healthy, and loved. We can all see that in the pictures you post. I'm sure this will all be over with soon.
Oh goodness! Although I'm sure they are just following protocol, what an awful thing for you to go through! I'm sure everything will get resolved quickly though... how could it not? You guys are amazing parents. I hope Gretta's collarbone is on the mend quickly... poor little thing!

This is exactly what I was thinking @pcloadletter. I am so sorry you and Chris are having to deal with this on top of trying to care for Greta's injury. Y'all are awesome parents and it will all work out.
