It depends on your problem, though, @justdairy. Dawn is the shit for anything grease/residue related. Also good to get things clean if your problem is a too weak detergent. Hot water/bleach only help if your problem is detergent residue.
Honestly, the easiest "strip" for me is a wash with another laundry detergent. I just mix things up a lot and it seems to keep things clean. Soap nuts sometimes, Kirkland free and clear sometimes, Tide sometimes.

I totally agree with you! I thought she meant detergent residue for some reason. Which I guess is the only problem I've ever had really, so that's why I go straight to the bleach.
