It's always good to have some Tylenol on hand IMHO. DS slept after his 2 month shots and wasn't fussy at all. The subsequent shots have been a mixed bag; he's been fussy a couple of times, fine a couple of times and sleepy maybe once.
With j he started screaming and couldn't be consoled a few hrs after his shots so I gave Tylenol. Pedi said to give it if he was fussy rather than if he had a fever if he had a fever and was fine then he said not to give it.
The girls have their appt and shots tomorrow. If they are fussier than usual I'll give it.

With DD, she was definitely a lot fussier after her 2 month shots. It was a different sort of cry than she ever had before - it sounded more like she was in pain So at least in her case, it was obvious that I should try the Tylenol. If your DD just winds up sleepy (fingers crossed for you!), then you could skip the Tylenol, but you'll probably know if she needs it.
Pretty much if she seems to be acting "off" and fussing more than is usual for a 2 month old. Just go with your gut. Fwiw, ds was fine a few minutes after his first shots and the only thing that bothered him was pressure on the spot where he got the needle. The 2 month ones aren't typically too bad from what I hear (although of course all children react differently).
I would have it on hand and give for a low grade fever or if she seems very uncomfortable therefore not eating. Otherwise hold off, there are some studies that show giving tylenol can make the vaccines a little less effective.

Look for a fever/irritability. My DS was miserable after his 2-mo shots. I gave him Tylenol preemptively right after he got is 4-month ones, and he was way better. Still a little irritable but nothing bad. Good luck!
