OMG why can't I just not be hungry for more than 1.5 hours? I'm already having to drink water and go pee all the time. Now I also have to constantly be going out and getting a bagel here and there or raiding the stupid vending machine too!
I'm just gonna buy like 5 sleeves of lenders bagels this weekend and keep them in my cube.
I have been really hungry this week too. I have a doctor appointment tomorrow and I am afraid of the scale. I might get on it backwards. I am just soooo hungry.
I was this way in the very beginning, but it's a lot better now. I still eat 2 breakfasts usually, but the rest of the day I'm not as hungry. I imagine this happens in waves depending upon times of rapid growth? I don't know, I'm making stuff up though, lol
All I can contribute is OMG I totally want a thanksgiving meal right now.
Vom. Thanksgiving food was my major food aversions when I first was pregnant. I still can't stomach casseroles, Brussels sprouts, asparagus, etc. I almost didn't open this post.

I shit you not, I said "WOAH!" really loudly when I got on the scale yesterday. And then I got the talk, and the suggestion to bring my carbs down to 1 serving/day, because I'm actually not hungrier than normal or eating more than I ever did, but I gained 7lb this month. Soooo they think I'm holding on to all of my delicious carbs more than I do when not pg, so I need to make changes now or I could have issues down the line with my GD testing. *sobs*

I hope they meant 1 serving per meal?! Because I have GD and I'm still supposed to have one grain serving per meal, along with 2 servings of non-starchy carbs like fruit & veg. Baby really does still need carbs.

hmm, idk. I assumed one per day, because one per meal seems like my norm. Unless my portions are just too large, maybe?
Usually breakfast isnt bad for me its dinner when I'm starving. Today we have a dept lunch and leaving late and I'm starving! I hope they have bread at the restaurant or I might eat my fingers.

Yeah, portions might be more of the issue. One serving of carbs is 15g, which measures out to 1/3 cup rice, a very small roll or slice of bread, 1/2 a cup of fruit, 1-1/2 cups cooked veggies, etc. It's really quite small when you start measuring!
These days I try to fill 1/2 my plate with veggies, 1/4 with grain, and 1/4 with protein. At lunch I'll do slightly less veg and add a small amount of fruit.

I hate the vague you need to cut back on carbs talk! I got it even though I passed the diabetes test because I gained about 20 pounds in 2 months. But she didn't give me any real instructions, and I cut out all bread and way down on fruit, and ate a TON of meat/eggs, veggies, and cheese. 2 weeks later I go in again and, according to their scale I'm down 10 pounds (but I think it was wrong and their scale was off either that visit or the last one - I was down about 6 pounds according to the scale at home, which still surprised me). She was shocked, apparently she thought I would just stop gaining, not lose.
So now I'm allowed to eat carbs again, and I've looked up the GD sample diets for some more guidance. I'm still trying to not eat sweets - I was having brownies or cookies or ice cream every day before, and I miss chocolate so much
