J Crew fit- cafe capri vs no 2 pencil skirt

Just wondering if anyone could compare the fit of these for me. I have the skirt and want to buy some of the pants but at final sale I want to get the right size!

I wear the same size, though I would say the skirt might be a tiny bit bigger, probably because it's sits higher up.

I don't have the skirt, but I had to go down a size in the pants.

Hmmm. I had ordered one size in the skirt and returned it because it fit but was too loose to look right. I sized down and it fits perfectly, but if I'm super bloated it is uncomfortably tight. I'm not sure if I should get the bigger or smaller size! Ugh. Probably both will fit but I don't want them to be skin tight or baggy. I really wish we had a store nearby!

I got a 6 in the cafe capri and I can pretty much only wear them if they've just been washed and dried; even then they get baggy as the day goes on. However, the 4's just don't work for me. I'm at a loss with J Crew pants.

For No 2 pencil, I wear a 4 and think it's pretty comfortable, unless like you said, I'm bloated and then it's a bit uncomfy.
