I had my NT scan today. Everything looked good! I was a little nervous, but baby was measuring right at 12 weeks (a week ahead of what I thought based on my chart, but consistent with my previous ultrasound and LMP). Heart beat looked good and NT measurement was 1.3 mm. H went with me and I think it made it a little bit more real for him to actually see the baby moving around on there. I kind of can't believe there is a little human in there.
NT scan meaning checking the neck thickness? Funny, I recall this last time happening around 17 weeks. Has it changed since? or was this your first u/s?

Yeah, the little fluid pocket in the back of the neck. Not the nuchal thickness, which is different. It's usually done between 11-13.6 weeks. I had an early ultrasound at what I thought was 5 weeks 5 days, but measured at 6 weeks 6 days. It's pretty standard if you do the first tri genetic screening I think.

They only do it between 11-13 weeks. Are you thinking of another scan? This is chromosome testing.

Like I said, it's been 6+ years so I can't recall only to say I swear it was NT scan and it was at 17 weeks.
