The pedi noticed a mild adhesion today. It's not to the point where we have to use the estrogen cream, but she wants us to put Vaseline on it every time we change DD's diaper.
If you've dealt with this, can you share your experience? She's still so small that I can't even really tell what the pedi is talking about. Also, I'm reading that if it gets worse and we need the estrogen cream that there can be some negative side effects.
Anyone able to reverse this without Premarin? Have you had reoccurrences? Anything else I should be aware of? I don't know if this happened naturally or because of something I did (overcleaning? I don't think so though).
I've been down this road numerous times. Leave it alone & more than likely it'll open with time...even as late as puberty with hormones changing. Unless its causing pee issues/UTIs there is no harm.
I had a Ped that prescribed Premarin & was gonna manually rip it open w/out any anesthetic (I stopped that) on DD1. I switched Peds (& cities) & she said just leave it alone...that stuff is no longer the protocol. I never used anything on the rest of my girls & they naturally opened. I never even used Vaseline.
