...well, mostly anyway. I'd like to add trim but it's not a high priority. As simple as this project seems, it has taken forever to complete! We had to remove the bookshelf (which required taking off the front door), prime/paint it, replace a baseboard where the previous owners had just chopped it at the edge of the bookshelf, move it back in & anchor it to the wall (after painting the room), and then finally add the wallpaper to the back. The room isn't quite finished yet, I'll post more pics when it is. But for now...
Here's the before. Ugly, solid wood beast of a bookshelf with crappy dark stain, on a wall that made no sense for the layout of the room. I should add that this is a listing photo with the previous owners' things:
And after. Primed and given a couple fresh coats of Bistro White paint in high gloss, moved and anchored to different wall, and wallpapered. In case it's hard to tell, the pattern is made up of charcoal gray Greek lettering on a blue background. I thought it would be fitting for an office, especially since I'm half Greek. Pardon the bad photo, trying to keep all the junk out of the shot.
We've been in our house for over a year now and can finally unpack all of our books! Hooray!
