Anyone care to recommend their hose pot? All of the ones I've found on amazon have so-so reviews - the pot rusted within a few weeks, doesn't have drain holes in the bottom, arrived banged up, etc.
I don't want a hose reel. I have one of those in the back of the house and I'd like a pot for in the front landscaping. Any links would be much appreciated!
I asked for this one last Christmas and I love it! It has holes in the bottom for drainage and a center pole to keep things from getting too tangled. I can fit 100' of hose in it. It's a nice thick construction as well so it hasn't dented or tipped over when I pull on the hose too much. The hose I have in it is a whole different story I need some new non-kinking hose.
It's called the Liberty Viper Copper Hose Pot. The place I originally found it on was pricey but I did some searching and found the manufacturer's name so I could more easily price match.
Well snakes like dark places where they can hide under something (think under brush pile, old log, etc.). My hose pot is very open and full. So there is no place for a snake in there.
I was worried the hose pot would be full of bugs and spiders but I haven't had any issues yet. They are all over other things outside but the fact that I'm using the hose in there on a regular basis seems to keep them out. The only thing that ever gets inside my hose pot are a few dried leaves that fall in and collect on the bottom.
it has three large drain holes in the bottom and the center support like Foxes does. I ended up using tent stakes to help hold it down because I often use the full length of hose and when your 100'+ out and give it a good tug it would tip over and hit my dahlias.
