I bought a pair of new w/ box See Kai Run shoes on eBay. They arrived in the mail yesterday and I'm pretty sure that the shoes are not new. The leather appears creased in several spots and the bottoms don't seem totally clean. I paid $20 including shipping, so not a huge deal, but if I pay to ship them back, then it starts to add up.
I'm not opposed to buying used kid items, but it's irritating that someone is trying to pass these off as new and claim a higher price. I was willing to pay a little bit more to buy new and now I feel duped.

I would dispute. I usually buy SKR new for that price with free shipping, so that's not a deal. I'd be pissed if someone tried to pass off used shoes as new, since I don't buy used shoes.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
I would dispute, and ask the seller to refund a portion of your purchase price for misrepresenting the item.
Yes this is a good idea! If you're willing to keep it, rather than shipping it back and requesting a refund, ask the seller to refund a portion of your purchase price. I did that on Etsy when an item I bought was incorrectly monogrammed. Shipping it back would have been 30% of the purchase price, I didn't want to do that. But I wasn't a satisfied customer either. So I told the seller I would accept a 50% refund, and they agreed.

Are you on the e-mail list? They have big sales once or twice a year. You usually have to spend $60 or $80 for free shipping. I got the last shoes for $16 or $17 each.

Me too. If you sign up for their email you get a $10 off coupon too, I think. I got four pairs for $60 last sale.
I agree with PP who said to ask for a portion of your money back if you think you'll use the item. It's such a pain for both you and them for you to have to ship the item back, etc., so I bet they'd be willing to just issue you a partial refund rather than having to go through all the hassle.
