June GBCN Book Club Mini-Challenge
June is National Adopt-a-Cat Month -- Read a book featuring a cat on the cover or a cat as a character.
June 3 is "Repeat Day" -- Re-read a book, or read a book that is a repeat, re-interpretation, or re-telling of a book you have already read. (Bonus: Repeat something today, for example: re-make a favorite recipe for dinner, watch a re-run tv show, or re-watch a favorite movie.)
June 7 is Belmont Stakes Day, the last race of the Triple Crown -- Read a book that has a 3-word title or is part of a trilogy.
June 21 is the longest day of the year (in the Northern Hemisphere) -- Pick a book that is shorter in some way (pages, title, author's name, etc.) for your next book. (Bonus: pick the shorter book for next book you read after June 21.)
June 28 is the 100th Anniversary of the assassination that began WWI -- Read a book about, relating to, or set during WWI.

I'm not "the board," but I'm of the opinion that a book is a book. I'd have an issue with using something like The Cat in the Hat or The Tale of Peter Rabbit to satisfy a challenge, but beyond that I'm pretty flexible.
My copy of Breakfast at Tiffany's is only 178 pages, including the three other short stories. I would say it should count for either the repeat task or the shorter book task in this challenge, provided of course, that I read all the text available in the book.
I'm not really hung up on page counts, as it can vary edition to edition. As long as you're not using beginner book-type or chapter-type books, I'm okay with whatever.

I think YA novels are fine. I think they are different from children's books (Cat in the Hat, Fancy Nancy, The Magic Treehouse series) and often have fairly adult themes if they are ones an adult wants to read (Harry Potter, Divergent, A Fault in our Stars)

I don't think points are necessary though we can certainly do them if most want to. I think it should be more like a fun way to prompt yourself to think about what you are choosing to read differently and to encourage reading new books/genres that you might not read otherwise.
