I highly recommend Becco for dinner. We also ate at Toloache and enjoyed it as well. A lot of people here recommend Shake Shack but I've only seen it with lines around the block so I went to 5 Napkin Burger instead and loved it.
I know nothing about the Omni, but that's a great area. Touristy/businessy rather than neighborhoody, but close to a ton of stuff (Rockefeller Center, fifth avenue shopping, Times Square, Central Park, Bryant park, etc.) and very convenient to subways.
Only drawback is food -- for the most part it is expense account places (some of which are excellent -- but pricey and formal), overpriced and mediocre tourist traps, or grab and go places for the office lunch crowds. But that is solved easily by going to other areas for dinner.
