So I just joined yesterday and it says I need to eat 1500 cal a day to lose one pound a week but I have to add in calories for my workout. So yesterday I ran for 30 min and had to add like 350 cal and today I'm doing an hour of kickboxing and I have to add 800 calories??? I find it very very hard to believe that I am going to lose weight eating 2300 calories a day! Does this sound right to you?
I'm a newbie on this but this is my understanding.
You calculate your BMM and your TDEE. You are not supposed to eat less than your BRM because that is the minimum amount of calories you need. If you wanted to lose, lets say 1lb/week, eat 500 less than your TEE.
