Long shot: anyone have an animal on vetmedin?

My beloved Great Dane passed away in March from complications from congestive heart failure. I have two opened bottles of Vetmedin (meds for CHF) that I will gladly donate or send to someone who could use them. The meds are around $100 per bottle and I hate to throw it out. They are brand new and unopened. PM me if you know a rescue, foster, or have an animal that can use it.

That's very nice of you. My dog is on it, but he's an 8 lb dachshund so I don't think that would work. You may contact the animal hospital/pharmacy - I think ours will take them back to donate to someone else. I'm sorry about your Great Dane.

I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your pup. Our family dog, living at my mom's house is on this. We think it's greatly improved his quality of life, he's 16.5 this month.

My German Shepherd mix, Teddy, was recently put on Vetmedin and it has helped him tremendously. He is 10 years old and I've had him since I rescued him as a tiny pup, so the diagnosis of heart disease has been very difficult and quite a shock.
