I guess this is related to how much you buy. I probably return 50% of things I buy. Fit is off, I don't like the style etc. if it matters, I mostly shop online. How often/how much do you return?

not often, i've tried to be a lot better about only buying things i love. usually, if it's a return it's because it was a great deal and i didn't have time to try it on beforehand.
I've been buying quite a bit online based on the fact that I don't want to shop with a 4 year old, 3 year old and a 6 month old. I'd say I return 50% at least of what I order online and much less of what I buy in person. Like Hales says, if it's a good deal and I don't have time to try it on. I should do better about only buying what I love but I'm finally back in normal clothes and it's so fun to BUY ALL THE THINGS!

I'm in the same boat. I buy a ton online mostly from 2 or 3 stores to limit the amount of places I have to go return things.
When I buy in person, usually not and only on rare occasion.
Online a lot more often b/c I'm really picky about fit as well. sometimes if something is selling fast and I haven't been able to try it on i'll order two sizes and then the return the one that doesn't fit.
About 75-85% of what I buy online. But, I blame the stores. If they carried my size in the stores, I wouldn't be forced to shop online because I'm too fat for who they want to see walk through the door. It's dumb that they'll carry the XL in the store, but not the XXL. Even the stores that do carry a plus size line have a very limited selection compared to what is in regular sizes.
I tend to shop in person more than online because I return a majority of what I purchase online (or I hold onto it and then resent the purchase). Things I buy in person I rarely return.

This. I'm guilty of sometimes buying two sizes but mostly with pants. I have a hard time with them. I generally shop online so I'd say 50% goes back. When I shop in store I make sure I love it and the fit has to be perfect so I don't end up having to return.

Often. I do a lot of online shopping-it's just easier time wise and shopping with children can be a nightmare at times so I never know of something will for right or of I like the fabric in person, etc.
I've been doing most of my shopping online these days and I return about 80%. My body is just he'd to fit now. When I go in store, I rarely end up buying something before I trying it on and loving it. If I try it on, I usually don't love it and don't buy it. Of the stuff I don't try on, I end up returning about 50%.
I rarely return when I am able to shop in person. I return at least 50% of what I buy online because I tend to buy two sizes if I'm uncertain of how something runs.

I never shop online for the reason that I feel like I would want to return almost everything. I will shop online if I already know how it fits (i.e. I want the same shirt that I already own in another color but it's not available in store).

A lot. Probably 50-60%. I shop online often and am guilty of both buying multiple sizes and purchasing enough to qualify for free shipping with intent to possibly return something. I return things I buy in store too because it's not as easy to try on with a 6 month so I often grab and go.
I'm also guilty of buying more to get a better price if there is a b1g1 50% off in store promo or coupon off a certain amount to get a better deal and possibly returning one piece if I didn't want/need at the time.
I also have no shame and will return/rebuy if there is a better price available before taking tags off/worn.
I am the laziest returner ever. I have three - THREE - Gemma dresses from BR hanging in my closet. They just don't fit right, ye I haven't returned any of them, even though I've had them forever! Two of them, I wore once. One, not at all. It's horrible. I'm actually willing to give them away at this point if anyone wants them, because they'll never be worn! $300, retail. What a waste.

Almost never. I do end up giving clothes away to Goodwill a lot when they aren't working out for me. I don't buy really expensive clothes though. I have only recently returned something that I can think of, which was a pair of shoes from Gap online that were weird...the right shoe and left shoe didn't match because the stitching of one was off.
All the time. I'm not made of money and if something isn't to my liking, I'm not going to keep it. I try damn hard not to order clothing online for this reason unless it's from a store that offers free returns.
A lot. I do most of my shopping online 'cause it's easier than dragging my kids with me. I find sizing to be all over the place, so it's hard. I frequent the retailers with free returns.
