How is everyone? What is happening today? Anything new and exciting? Fun plans for the day?

Hello!

Today was another day of housework. I made a pizza for dinner -- Spicy Thai Peanut Pizza. I think it came out well, well enough to rival restaurant pizza. I was very pleased with it. I paired it with a fruit salad for dinner.



QOTD: Summer isn't for 6 months (give or take) here. We're headed to the US for New Year's Eve and then a Southern Caribbean cruise on January 4. And after the cruise I am meeting my BFF for a LONG overdue catch up. I'm really looking forward to that. The last time I saw her was in 2007 so it's been a good while. DH is planning on checking out a live music performance in NO and we're planning on going shopping while we're in the land of the cheap stuff - or in DH's case, cheap liquor.

Today is the start of the weekend, thank goodness! It's been a long week! Weekend is filling up quickly, but that's ok. We need to get out and party now before Ramadan!!

QOTD: My job is in Payroll/Finance, so summer is our busiest time so no vacations for me until August. Then we're off to Edinburgh for a week! We're contemplating a quick trip to Oman or Turkey for 3 days over Eid but haven't decided yet!

Hello! Happy thursday! I feel so much better today after having slept most of the day yesterday. It may also be the sunshine today as opposed to the crappy rainstorm we had yesterday. Regardless, I feel good and am cleaning house!

QOTD: We are headed to TX in August to visit my family and introduce LO. Not too excited about the 40 degree weather, but I want them to meet the baby while she is still small.

Morning. Or afternoon at this stage.... Busy at work and I've a sick baby at home :-( I've been awake since around 4.30am with her and then got up at 5.30 to get in early (been here since 6.20am - it's now 12.30pm). Gotta leave here in an hour to let dh go to a meeting this afternoon.
And then a developmental check for both girls later this afternoon....

QOTD: I've 2 weeks booked off in August but no plans made yet. We'll likely stay at home seeing as we are fairly broke at the moment :-(

Hey there, not that much out of the ordinary planned for today.

QOTD: I am going to the beach a few hours away this weekend. I haven't planned that far out for the rest of the summer. Some other small trips are being discussed and it's possible that something longer could happen.

Went to the British Library to do research (it will be a common theme until the end of July as I have a 10,000 word paper due then) and had a parent coaching appointment (I'm the coach working with a parent) afterwards.  Made a spicy lentil dish with rice for dinner and now relaxing.

QOTD: we're heading to the States in August to see my parents for the first time in 2 years. I can't wait. I really, really, really hope it's sunny and warm/hot this time as I'm sure after a London summer I'll need it.
