4. Gwendolyn (but last name starts with N so I heard that's a no-no here before) Like
5. I love love love Katherine but it is DH's most significant ex's name, should I push on this? hahaha. I prefer Catherine but I probably wouldn't use an ex's name.

Love Juliet and Norah. Nora was my great-grandmother's name and it was a strong contender had DS2 been a girl.
I wouldn't push on naming a kiddo after DH's ex - not only would I want to avoid the association but I wouldn't want everyone else thinking "hmm, that's weird, didn't she know that's his ex? AWKWARD!".
Of those, I personally would choose Juliet or Gwendolyn (love Gwen as a nn).
I love Katherine as well (in fact that is what we're naming our DD) but I wouldn't use it if it was the name of my H's significant ex. I think that would be too weird.
I love Julie, Eleanor, and Norah. Katherine is great but I wouldn't push it if it is weird for your DH. Hazel is my favorite of yesterday's contenders, but I prefer Julia, Eleanor, or Norah to it.

1. Julia or Juliet Love Juliet, as long as the obvious reference doesn't bother you
2. Eleanor or Norah Love both
3. Maria Meh
4. Gwendolyn (but last name starts with N so I heard that's a no-no here before) Like the name, but I agree with the last name issue. Might sound a little jumbled
5. I love love love Katherine but it is DH's most significant ex's name, should I push on this? hahaha. - Definitely a No! lol
6. Gabriella (DH's grandma's name) I can't stand the nn Gabby, so I vote no on this one
7. Hazel I actually dig this one quite a bit
8. Laura Classic, simple, not overly popular. Always a good choice.
2. Eleanor or Norah Like Eleanor, esp with a nickname Ellie, Love Norah
3. Maria Meh
4. Gwendolyn (but last name starts with N so I heard that's a no-no here before) Love, but may not work for a "N" last name
5. I love love love Katherine but it is DH's most significant ex's name, should I push on this? hahaha. Afraid it might get too popular with the dutchess. Prefer Catherine.
I know your last name, and I will say I'm not a fan of Norah with it (and Norah is my favorite girl name, so I do really like it in general!)
My favorites with your last name are Julia or Juliet (I prefer the latter but either are fine) and I actually don't dislike Gwendolyn, despite the 2 n's I think they go together fine.
I also like Hazel and Laura. I think that Gabriella is beautiful and I like the association with her great grandma, but I think combined with your last name it is kind of a long and complicated name. In general I prefer more simple names with complicated last names and vice versa (that's what I dislike about my last name, it is SO simple that many names are too short/plain to go with it).
