The U.S. Department of Agriculture has named over 1,000 counties in 26 states as disaster areas -- the largest declaration in history -- as a result of the recent drought, wildfires and other extreme weather events threatening agriculture and many other industries across the entire country. As scientists have told us, this is what the climate crisis looks like.

And the UK is in the midst of the wettest spring-summer on record...our crops are getting too much rain and prices are going up, their have been tons of floods and unusually cold weather. Both sides of the pond are being effected.
I love how the SF Bay Area is fine but the rest of California is not. Must be a liberal conspiracy.
It's all the Koi ponds from the gays.
If only we had a famous gay preacher to go on TV and let everyone know that this drought is because of the "Straight agenda" and America allowing "Straight Marriage" has made the baby jesus angry. I would love that so, so much lol.

Hey, wait, Hawaii kinda recognizes same sex marriage. We have civil unions!
Or are we affected by drought, and I didn't know it? It's hard to tell when there are rainy and dry sides on every island. It rarely rains at my apartment, but I can drive 10 minutes to where it rains every day.

I am surprised central OH isn't worse (although it actually rained today). A friend of mine who is part of her family's vegetable farm was on All Things Considered last night talking about their total loss of their corn crop. So sad.
