We had a nice dinner at one of our newer favorite places, I'm in love with their fried green tomatoes. We got half the lawn mowed and saw 22 Jump Street, hung out at the club for a bit. I also watched a lot of Pretty Little Liars. Sunday we went to see a dog that we don't think will be a very good fit with our family, she was sweet but jumped a lot and has had some aggression issues with other dogs. While we were chatting with the lady she thought of another dog they had fostered so we went to meet another dog.. and while we were waiting to meet that one we came across a super awesome dog that I want really badly now. *fingers crossed*
My weekend was great - hung out with some neighbors on Friday, and while they drank a ton, at least they didn't fight/bicker (we will call this a win!). Saturday we got a great deal on a dresser ($20 for an actual wood dresser, with no particle board!!) And hung with some friends in the evening. Sunday, had a great time shopping with my sister and getting some things.
There really were no lows, other thank I didn't get any laundry done. (So that will be the goal tonight.)
Best thing I ate - probably the shrimp trio I had last night. So tasty!

It was good. I didn't do too much. I took Friday off, got my hair done and had dinner at my parents. Birthday party for a friend on Saturday and errands yesterday.

Amaaaazing!
Friday I actually napped a lot of the night, followed by some cleaning. Nothing fun.
Saturday I got up early to meet the BF and did my pop art/Lichtenstein style makeup for Comic Con! It was so much fun, people were all dressed up, some asked to take my picture, I met cool folk, got some neat swag. Rented 21 Jump Street and ordered pizza late when we got home.
Yesterday we laid around for awhile, I made breakfast. Then we went to Gamestop and I got my birthday present.. A pink Nintendo 3DS XL with two games I really wanted. So I did a little laundry and wasted the rest of the day watching Netflix and playing games.

Kids are exhausting!
We went and visited BIL and his two girls and took them to a boardwalk with carnival-type rides. I foolishly did not wear sunscreen and burned...again. The girls had fun, so that's what matters most.
We made the long haul home (4 hours) and I crashed out. I had so much to do, but the sleep felt so good!
And the best thing I ate: cheddar biscuits from Red Lobster
Friday I left work early to watch Spain's WC game, but unfortunately it was a painful loss. Then met up with another friend for dinner and drinks downtown. Then we went back to my place, her bf met us, and we ended up drinking wine until 1am.
Saturday I went to my first farm share pick up and worked my volunteer shift. It was actually pretty fun - everyone was super nice. Went for a pedicure/foot massage, then took a long walk back home in the beautiful weather and stopped at a market I had just heard about that morning. The cheese case, seafood counter and bakery department were AMAZING (this is exciting for me, ok? lol). Rested for a while then met up with BFF and a group of friends for dinner.
Sunday I went through my produce and did some cooking. It was super nice out and I kept thinking of things I could do, but I just relaxed at home. I needed a day with nothing going on. And BONUS - I finally had a whole day where S didn't text me at all. Hallelujah!
Best things I ate (I have to say my dinner was unbelievably good!):

After Jay spent 4 hours cleaning the Chevy on saturday we made our way down to Cape Cod. About 30 minutes in, he checked the radar and saw a storm 20 miles ahead. So we pulled over a rest stop to wait it out and let the roads dry a bit.
Further down the road, the roads were wet. So, we pull off and wait... it took us almost 3 hours to get there on a 1 hour 15 minute drive.
Sunday Jay was up at 5 and left to get to the car show with his dad. I rolled in around 11 with MIL, SIL and BIL. Checked out the other cars and went back to In-laws for dinner.
Driving home we pulled into the gas station, but GASP- there was water from a hose all in the lot. So we pull out and find a new station and make our way. We only have a 10 gallon tank and can only fill 8 gallons, otherwise it leaks. So we stop again on the ride home. It took us a good 2 hours to get home.
I immediately got in my jammies and fell asleep on the couch.
Friday we went to see a play and then out for drinks, Saturday we got some yard work done and then went to our friends' for a World Cup party and didn't go home until 4:30am. Sunday we helped weed/plant/mulch a park in our neighborhood, then relaxed at home. Very productive and I'm sore from weeding!

On Saturday, we had dinner with some friends, which included a really awesome goat cheese and tomato dip. Yum! As usual when we get together with this couple, we were out later than we intended (I swear their place is inside some sort of field where time behaves differently). We got home after 3:00 am and then had to go to Ian's aunt's house on Sunday to help her pack and get ready to move. We got a lot done, though, which is good. Also, I ended up coming home with a vintage hat (which needs some cleaning and reshaping, but should be very cute with some care) and this quirky little (ok, not little, oversized actually) treasure.
Weekend was great! We saw Edge of Tomorrow and 22 Jump Street, did some shopping, and I think made a final decision about some housing stuff. There was also lots of time to relax around the house. Only bad thing is that last night I started not feeling well so that's a bummer.
We deep cleaned the house, finished laundry, I returned a pair of shoes on Sunday and bought a new duvet cover/shams, and the rest was spent relaxing. I also slept a lot which I needed!
