Is there anything better than the Iphone out there? I am on my 5th or 6th Droid this year with Verizon. They've replaced it with the same thing every time. I wanted the Iphone on my last upgrade and they told me it would be 2-3 months at the least and talked me out of it. I know they will try to do this again.
I can't get a satellite signal in Chicago, Nashville, Louisville, Cincy, Gatlinburg, Knoxville, the entire state of Kentucky, and Indy among others. They tell me it's a weak signal and not my phone, but I was with 2 other people on Sunday getting signals from Verizon in the same spot at the same time. Does anyone else have this issue? My phone is always in a hard case, never near water, and looks like new.

I know exactly what you mean! The first one was great, but the second and third ones with the keyboard don't have an operating system that's compatible with the keyboard. It opens and closes things randomly forcing everything closed at some point. I've spent hours at stores and on the phone getting "fixes" that make it all worse.
I need it to work all the time. It's annoying having to reboot multiple times a day. Now it's draining battery super fast and this phone isn't even 90 days old including the battery.

I had a droid before my iPhone and I love my iPhone. My droid would freeze up at least once a week and the battery couldn't even make it through a work day. I do miss the ease of uploading straight to Facebook though.

Another droid to iPhone convert here. I had the Droid2, and I liked it fine, until I got the iphone. The battery lasts longer, the apps are better, and I just think it's more user friendly in general. That being said, I don't know if there have been any improvements made on the droids since I ditched mine a year ago.
I went from Blackberry to iPhone, so I can't speak firsthand about Droids. But DH had a Droid for a short time and absolutely hated it. It was constantly glitching, I agree with cab, I think they're trying to do too much. He converted to an iPhone and absolutely loves it now.
We talked a little bit on Sunday about this, but H has a Droid and doesn't like it. Like pp's said, it glitches and freezes. Sometimes if he doesn't turn his phone off, his texts will get "held", so that he doesn't receive any incoming texts and then next time he turns his phone off and on, they'll pour in by the dozens.
I just got my iphone on Saturday, but having it for these short couple days and H messing with it, he's decided his next upgrade is going to be to iphone.

I had an Android phone (not a Droid, H has one though). I got an iPhone recently and I honestly don't get the big hoopla around it.
It's fine and good. But it's really no different than my Android. Battery life totally sucks in comparison - I could go 3 days on my Android on a single charge vs less than one day on my iPhone using it the same amount and in the same ways.
So in all honesty - can someone who LOVES their iPhone and "will never go back" explain it to me? Friends told me this phone would change my life and I'm still waiting.

I have an Android and hate it. It's always freezing up. I had to buy an extended battery because my first one barely lasted 4hrs and was always causing static. I've had my phone replaced three times. I also have to pull my battery out at least once a week and reset everything. My phone will go nuts during a text and send hundreds of the same text.
When we went to get our phones the SA talked us out of getting the iphone. He said that any time we have a problem with our phone it would cost $30 just to call about it. DH used my upgrade to get himself a new phone so when he is eligible for his upgrade in November I plan on getting an iphone.

I find the iPhone to be more intuitive to use, and everything runs so smoothly. Many of the apps I had on both my droid and iPhone are simply superior on the iPhone. They run cleaner, look better, and rarely cause issues. With my droid phone, apps were always crashing, or freezing so I'd have to force close things, and several times a week I would have to pop out my battery and put it back in to reboot the phone. Plus, you don't need an app killer on the iPhone. As far as the battery life, I could never go a full day on my droid, so I think your experience is outside the norm. I don't know anyone with a smartphone who can go more than a day on a single charge.
My iPhone 4S also takes AMAZING pictures, where my droid phone could never seem to focus, and it took forever for the camera to even open to take a picture.

Do you have Verizon? Rumors are Verizon tries to steer people away from iPhones.

Never had a Droid, but I did have the Blackberry Storm before the Iphone.
I am honestly not into gadgets. I could care less about computers other than that they work. A phone is a phone to me. I don't get fired up over anything really technological and I LOVE my iphone. LOVE it so much it's one of my top favorite items that I own. I will never get another phone.

H and I both had a blackberry and switched to iphones last December. We are both soooo happy we switched to an iphone. H considered a droid, but ultimately decided on the iphone after the reviews he read and friend's experiences.
I have yet to meet someone who doesn't love their iphone, but if you talk to someone with a droid or a blackberry they're probably complaining about it :-P
I do love my iPhone but I have never had any other smartphone.
I upgraded in Nov. to the 4GS from a 3G and I will say that the battery life is horrible. I had issues from the beginning that if the battery went below 50% it would shut down and would not turn back on until is was charged for over an hour. I have been to Apple several times and they tell me that there is no issue. Their solution was to turn off email push, location services/gps so that the phone wasn't constantly "searching". Kinda defeats having a phone with these capabilities.
DH says he is over the iPhone and may switch when he is eligible for an upgrade.

That sucks you have issues with your phone. My 4S will work just fine all the way down to about 2%, before it will shut off and I need to charge it.

I had a crackberry which I wanted to throw out of windows from very high altitudes on a daily basis. It was the biggest POS. I switched to a droid (HTC Evo from Sprint) a little over a year ago, and all was fine until a couple of months ago when apparently my "storage" was getting low. I barely have any apps or do anything out of the ordinary on my phone, so this was annoying. So I went through and tarted removing shit I didn't need, and there are some apps I can't even uninstall (some stupid sports ones and a nascar one...Why TF do I need a fucking Nascar app?!?!?!), in that process I must have deleted something important, because I lost all of my contacts (whoops), and I can no longer receive picture texts or group texts....so when my BFF had her baby yesterday, I couldn't even see the damn photo.
Anyways, since then, I've still gotten the low storage bullshit, AND shitty battery life. My next phone is an iPhone...H has one, and so does everyone else in my family, haha. Its about damn time I get one too! I have to wait until October though .
