But we don't have a fence and would have to tie her up. I'd go get her a dog collar. Would that be okay? I know you shouldn't tie up dogs, but what about a goat for her own safety?
My parent's want to call Animal Control. I'm afraid they'll put her down and not rehome her.
UPDATE:
My Uncle, who has a farm, offered to take her. If we find the owners, obviously, we'll give her back.
My Uncle already has 2 other goats and noticed her hooves were very worn down and she was really thin. It pretty much confirms she's been away from home a very long time. Poor baby. So happy she has somewhere safe tonight where she can roam free in a fence without having to be tied up.
No but really, said goat will be happy grazing on the lawn with a long tether overnight. Provide plenty of fresh water and a soft place to lay down and it will be goat heaven. Bonus, you get your lawn mowed for free!!

Hope she's found again! Can you hobble goats? If so, maybe do that? Or a line that creates a run between two trees that's several feet off the ground with a rope (that can slide along the run)attached to the goat that's only long enough for the goat to lie down and not strangle itself.
One of the only things H and I disagree about on a regular basis is if we can get a goat. (Clearly, my answer is YES. He is mean and shortsighted and no matter what I say about the lawn or how much I squee, he's totally against it.)
