Do O pains typically come before, during or after O? I don't usually ovulate, but I'm on clomid and have some lower abdomen pain. Opk is negative. Just trying to determine cause of pain.
It is different for each person for each cycle. I typically have experienced them the day that I ovulate, but I have also had it where I have them on and off for 2 days.
Have you ever had this kind of pain before? I think I've had ovulation pain before ovulation, but with the clomid, I'd wonder if you have a cyst, if you don't normally have those kinds of pain. I'm sorry to be Debbie downer!
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

Uh.....actually, abdominals twinges/"pains" are a totally common side effect of Clomid and does not automatically mean cysts , FFS
I absolutely fear the worst, and I know cysts are possible, but I wasn't jumping straight to that conclusion. It's good to know that clomid is notorious for these twinges, and it's totally correct to put "pain" in quotes because it's not painful, just unfamiliar. Like pressure, bloating, fullness, but not really "pain."
I'm very sorry if I offended, as that wasn't at all my intention. I was asking if she'd experienced them normally, or if they were new this cycle.
I'm glad to hear that it's a common side effect and not necessarily indicative of cysts. I don't have personal experience with it, and should have added that.

I'm not offended, but since I don't usually ovulate, I don't know if they're normal for me nor if they can be attributed to O or clomid or something else.

Thanks, autumn rose. I need to chill out; I appreciate your even keeled approach and advice. What's your story? You obviously and unfortunately have some clomid experience.

I've noticed on Clomid that my ovaries feel very "busy". Lots of sharp twinges. I do sometimes get O pain but not to this degree. To me it felt more like follicles growing because it was leading up to O time rather than during.

This is very reassuring. I opted for one unmonitored cycle, after confirming no cysts and doing HSC in April, but since it's also my first cycle, I've been very alert about everything. And since I'm out if state on vacation, I can't go to my normal doctor and feel even more pressure not to freak out because it would result in a trip to the emergency room, if I decided I had to go in.
