We have had one in DD's room for 2 years. It gets heavy use and is in good shape. No complaints! My niece has had one for a few months longer and no issues with it either.
Yes, very nice. We actually have 3, plus the Hemnes night stands, plus a shelving unit, a shoe holder unit, and a bookcase with glass door.
It's all solid wood, but soft wood. So when we moved my dresser from the apartment to our house, it got nicked in 1 or 2 places. But otherwise, it's still going strong 16 months after purchase. I love the color and the style. The drawers have rollers that run very smoothly.
I had it put together by someone else, so I can't tell you how that went.
We recently bought it and it wasn't terrible to put together, but it came in a lot of pieces. It helped that H actually did all of the manual work and I read him the instructions from the booklet.
ETA: picture from our nursery. We got it in white and bought new knobs from Home Depot.
We have the large and medium sized units. They're very attractive and solid. I will say I thought they were a beast to put together, but I have no patience so that's likely why.
We each have the long one, and the tall one in DS's room, so about 3 years on each. They've held up great! I really like them. I plan to do the next baby room in white/gray, and get the long white one.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
We have 2 and they have both held up well over about 6 years and a cross-country move. But they can be a pain to put together if you aren't naturally handy (as can most Ikea items!).
I have several pieces that I have had for many years and several moves. I have 2 nightstands and a bed (headboard, side rails, foot boards), that I have had for over 10 years and they have been through 5 moves, and still doing well in a spare bedroom. I have 2 dressers that have been through 2 moves and like 8 years old? One is still in our current house in a spare bedroom and we just gave the other to a coworker of DH's. I did have another dresser that didn't fare as well, and was falling apart after 2 moves and about 2 years, I got rid of that one ages ago.
We have three of them - 2 of the regular size 3-drawer ones and 1 of the bigger 8-drawer ones. We also have 2 of the nightstands. All are white. We've had them for about 5-6 years and they've been through one cross-country move. They've held up great and I would absolutely buy them again.
We have the big 8 drawer one in brown-black (it just looks black to me), and love it. I want to get another smaller one for the bedroom. We also have a bookshelf and the TV unit, all are very solid. The big dresser took a while to put together, but once you get the hang of the drawer it's mostly just time consuming because you have to do the same thing 8 times.
We have two 8 drawer dressers in dark brown. I really like them and how easy the drawers roll. We have had them for 4 years and they have held up well, but I agree w/ PP that they can nick easily. We are going to buy another one for the nursery.

I have the 8 drawer in white and it's 4 1/2 years old and has been moved once. We use it as a changing table and love it. It's held up great. It was a lot of pieces to put together initially, but worth it.
I love the style, we have the long 8 drawer, it has been great to hold DS' clothes and things for the past 3 years and we used it as a changing table. However it is not heirloom quality like they claim. A lot of it is held together with dowels and metal bolts and the bolts are held by little circular pieces that you screw in. The circular pieces are constantly falling out which causes the drawers to come apart, plus they're a choking hazard. This especially happens if the drawers are full.
My child is destructive and I joke he is the Incredible Hulk, so he managed to break the wood dowel and metal bolt in half and rip a drawer face off. I won't blame ikea for that because he also ripped the door off our entertainment center before he could walk and that is the only time he has messed with the dresser.
I don't think it's a bad deal for the price and it might be ok if it's going to be in a room where the drawers aren't opened and closed on a daily basis, like a guest room. The smaller one might hold up better. We are moving soon and I'm going to get rid of it, because it don't think it will survive the move well.
We have two, one in DDs room that gets heavy use since its also her change table. I absolutely love it, it's held up great and fits so much. It is Ikea furniture but it doesn't seem flimsy like some of my other Ike's pieces.

We used the 8 drawer long one in DS1's nursery and switched it to our room when he got his big boy bed. We love it so much that we bought another one for DS2's nursery. We have the larger nightstands in our room and will eventually complete the set with a tall dresser also. We think it is a good value for definite heavy duty piece, but I think the white holds up a lot better than the darker wood colored ones. We noticed at IKEA that the darker ones showed wear more and the one that we have had for 5 years still looks brand new. If you look at them next to each other you can tell the white has a coating on it that I think helps make it more durable.
We have it in white for DD. It's the wide 3 drawer chest, and it looks good. The drawer bottoms feel flimsy because of the width of the drawers. I preferred the taller chest ; I think those drawers are more narrow, but that package didn't fit into my car, so the decision was made. I only store clothes for DD in it, and the drawers aren't even full, so it works for us
Do you like this bed? Do you have it on wooden slats with a regular nonIkea mattress? (Meaning no box spring)
I do like the bed. I wanted an iron-like bed frame, and this one is affordable and white, which thought would go nicely with the bedroom trim. Originally we put it on the box spring, but the height of the bed isn't adjustable, so it felt really tall. So we went and bought the slats and I haven't noticed a difference, really. Although I've heard that not using a box spring can void your mattress warranty (it's a simmons beauty rest, not an Ikea mattress).
Ironically, after we moved in, my dad brought me the original iron bed that belonged to my great grandmother and that was always at our summer house and that inspired my desire to get an iron bed frame. It's only a full size, though.
