I saw this on the news at the gym this morning. WTF is wrong with people? Seriously? Going out of their way to fuck up the environment is unfathomable. I have a hard enough time with people who can't be bothered to go out of their way to reduce waste, but this is just a whole other level. Disgusting, vile slime.

How are any of these cars passing state inspection? Also, what else do these people do for fun? Litter? Take that, Earth!

I was wondering that too. I guess they remove that part to go through inspection then put it back on? The more I think about these fucking assholes the angrier I get!
I've actually encountered one of these trucks on the road (I drive a Prius but live in an area where big trucks and anti-environmentalism can be somewhat prevalent). The driver of the truck passed me and moved over to my lane right before a red light. When the light turned green the driver proceeded to "roll coal." It was pretty gross and the smell of the exhaust just filled my car.

I would be so rageful at that point that I'm not sure I wouldn't end up on the news.

Well, I hope you learned your lesson. I mean, you deserved that for driving a fuel-efficient car. Speaking of fuel efficiency, aren't they also just wasting tons of expensive gasoline doing this?

Not everywhere has inspections though. Once you buy your car here that's it. No one ever look as it again. It's be easy to add one of these stupid things and go on your merry way. I'm pretty much just waiting to see these here.
Sadly, preserving the environment USED to be a conservative ideology. You know, when you live in a rural area and enjoy hunting and fishing, you usually kind of want to keep things the way the are? (Also, "keep things the way they are" is literally the definition of conservative, lol.)
But hey, low information voters. "Obama likes it." "Well then I DON'T!"

I'm just imagining in the not-so-distant-future, when the offspring of these ignorant F*cks are viewing this article from an underground bunker. What better way could you express your animosity for future generations?! Ugh.

Really? I didn't know that!
I never even knew inspections were a thing until I started working at the dmv during college and people would come in to renew their license and they hadn't changed their address out of Chicago and they'd be flagged for failure to get their inspections done.
I sort of wish it were a thing here but people would flip. But I occasionally see people with the supped up exhaust around here, so take that how you want. lol
Wouldn't it be more effective to just report them to you? "Hey, coal roller, guess what? I'm reporting you to pixy! Suck it!"
No, because *I* may end up in jail.
You can go to jail for rolling up on someone in a tank while dressed in a super scary clown costume? (This is how I assume you hand out justice.) at the very least, you need a dinosaur suit.
CO has strict emission rules. It's a problem here because of our altitude and population density. Until they started cracking down we had a brown haze constantly in the air.
