My husband loves the lacy one, but I think it may be too Fall, and not enough Spring. I can wear it again this Fall for another wedding. Even knowing the real price my husband is voting for the navy lacy dress.
Wedding this weekend is evening and formal attire requested
Dress 2 is kind of lightweight and would be super comfy. Not sure if it is dressy enough.
I have been all over the city and cannot find anything that is not super Fall looking. I missed Spring! The cute Spring colors are all in sizes too big.

Thanks! The girl at Nordstrom said it was too Fall, but had nothing else to offer lol. She suggested some maxi dresses that were much more casual than the second dress. I will pick it up tomorrow when I stop in for the sale! It's on hold.
I may check out Saks too, but nothing has really caught my eye anywhere else. I wasn't sure about navy since it's summer, but it's navy or black from what I am finding in stores. I was hoping to do a lacy coral, but I cannot find my size anywhere. Time just got away From me on this one!

if you want to go more "summer" with the navy lace, try a bright pink lip, a strappier pair of metallic shoes, maybe hair a little looser and more boho than you would for fall.

Thank you for giving me an excuse to buy the strappy heels I saw today! I may already own some, but these are better I will stop at the MAC counter for some fun makeup.
I really love both dresses on you, but I agree that the lace is more appropriate for a more formal evening wedding! If you have any use for the other dress, I'd buy it too because it does look great on you.

Ditto. I like the first one. I don't think it looks wintery, especially if you accessorize with lighter shoes (like strappy sandals). The second one IS too casual, in my opinion.

Thanks, I did buy the second dress because it was $35 lol no idea where I will wear it but I'm sure something will come up! For that price it can sit in my closet for a bit. Looking at it again, it really is too casual for the wedding. I was just feeling the time crunch and it was the best find after 10 stores of nothing. I am really surprised at the poor dress selection this month. Last month there were tons! I really shouldn't have procrastinated.

This was exactly what I was thinking. Accessorizing the first dress can make it seem more summery. It's so pretty.

I went to a wedding last week and there were a lot of LBDs. I don't think that means that its a fall style.
